Sasha had laid down with a pillow and blanket on the floor a little while earlier, she preferred this to the bed, since it was cooler.
Victoria was coughing every few minutes, occasionally shifting restlessly in her sleep.
Too many had succumbed to the virus, causing an outbreak. Sasha and Glenn were too weak, so Hershel took them on himself. Eventually Maggie had found her way in and they managed to get Glenn breathing again. Sasha had been listening to the whole thing before Lizzie came down to check on her.
I stood up slowly from the bed with Victoria and rubbed my watery eyes. I coughed and leaned against the wall before Tyreese appeared in the door way.
A wave of relief washed over me as we locked eyes and he knelt down with Sasha. Her eyes fluttered open for a moment and she smiled, feeling her brother pull her into a hug before she slipped back to sleep.
I grinned and headed out of the cell slowly, seeing Daryl slam the door open and a bag of supplies in his arms. He searched the room frantically before spotting me, stopping in his tracks instantly.
He set the medicine down and he ran towards me, a terrified look in his eyes. I met him half way, before I threw my arms around him, wrapping my legs around his waist and nestling my face in the crook of his neck. "Oh god." I whispered, trying to get as close to him as humanly possible.
I missed Daryl so much, it physically hurt. I could actually feel the aching agony that tore through me every time I thought about him. And just the feeling of his arms wrapped around me, drove me insane. "Tori?" He whispered into my neck hopefully.
I pulled back, smiling. "Alive, soon to be well again, thanks to you."
That seemed to be enough for him, because he tilted my head back and pressed his lips against mine. A shiver sped down my spine as he deepened the kiss, his tongue meeting mine in a pleasurable dance.
I moaned against his mouth, craving more of him, needing more of him like needing oxygen to breath.
Every inch of my body shivered as our tongues explored each others mouthes, both of us gripping the other tighter with every second.
Someone cleared their throat and I wanted to strangle them in that moment. I think Daryl felt the same way, seeing as I felt him sigh heavily before parting our lips.
We turned around at the same time to see Hershel standing behind us, several cups, bottles of medicine and syringes in his arms as he waited for us to stop, I suppose.
If it was anyone else, I probably would have glared at them and continued on. But since I held respect for Hershel, I let my legs fall to the ground, and slowly untangled myself from Daryl's arms.
Daryl grunted at Hershel, as if telling him to speak about what ever was so important that he needed our assistance.
Hershel nodded curtly, and looked back and fourth between the two of us. "This won't take long, but I need you to help me give this out to the sick. We may have the medicine to treat them, but we still have to get it to them." Hershel explained. "Mariah, you're gonna need some. I don't know how you kept that illness at bay. Maybe by sleeping, or maybe you were stronger. But you still need to take this before you get worse."
I held out my hand, as he set his supplies down on the table. I waited for him to pour some kind of concoction into a cup for me to drink but he didn't.
