She took our plates to the sink. As she was washing, a call came to her phone

"You have a call" I said

"From who?" she asked

I stood over the table, trying to see who was calling her. It was upside down, and I wasn't a fan of reading things that weren't normal

I reached for the phone to turn it the normal way. But before I could fully grab it, it was snatched away form my hand

I looked up at my mom in surprise, the look of apprehension on her face was the last thing I expected

None of us said anything for a while, until the phone rang again

She looked at the ID , then at me, the look not leaving her face

"Nuguya?" who is it? I asked, standing on my full height

"Amudo aniya" it's no one she replied

"Then why's your phone ringing. Is it someone I know?" I walked towards her, but stop when she retreated

I looked at her

"I'm tired. Why don't you clean up? I'm going up first" she said

She had already gone

"Mwoya?" what was that? I asked the air

I cleaned up and went to my bed

I signed as I got down from bed and prepared from school

"Morning, mom" I greeted her as I walked down the stairs

"Morning, dear. How was your night?" she asked

"Breakfast?" she asked

"Nah, not hungry"

"Lunch?"

"I'll eat in school" I told her

Before I could leave, I turned back to her. What happened yesterday came back into my mind

I stood there for a while before smiling at her

"It's nothing. Have a good day" I responded and left

I decided to go to the rooftop today

I was surprised anymore when I saw Tae Woong already there

"You're an early riser" I decisively concluded

He chuckled

"Well, you aren't someone that enjoy her time in bed either, it seems"

I smiled as I nodded and sat beside him

"Have you heard from Ji Sung?" I asked after the silence
