Chapter 4- Drugs

Simon's P.O.V

Parties. To the gang it's fun but to me parties are searching for trouble considering the hidden superpowers and influences of drugs and alcohol. The worst of all is spikes, I was spiked and it changed me dramatically. Drugs and powers don't mix. Drugs reverse powers. I would be seen, Nathan would be mortal, Kelly would say her thought, Curtis could turn forward time and Alisha was untouchable.

"That's not so special! Whatever!" Nathan snickers moving away from Alisha's phone. I wasn't being so careful when I was following her. I need to be more careful.

"Who is this guy?" Curtis asks.

"I don't know. He was following me" Alisha shrugs putting her phone back into her pocket.

"I think he sent the note telling us to go to Nathan's grave" Kelly adds in. Sh*t.. I knew they would eventually start to notice something is up with the masked man jumping off buildings but not this quickly. I haven't been cautious enough.

"He kinda reminds me of the guy that rescued me"

"Er did I miss something?"

"I got surrounded by a whole bunch of those "virtue" virgins, right? I was about to kick three kinds of sh*t out of them, girls included," Nathan explains looking between Kelly and Alisha "This fella swoops in on his BMX all dramatic like, and gives me a backie. He can pedal! I'll give him that!"

 I chuckle to myself quietly, the prick was too scared to fight them or "kick three kinds of sh*t" as he calls it. If he were I wouldn't of been there.

"We need to find him" Simon whispers seriously.

"Look, if he wants to dick around trying to be a superhero, let him. Who has time for that sh*t!" Alisha shrugs and keeps picking up the rubbish around her.

If only she knew she would be the one investing all her time into me and not Curtis. She's with him for now, not for much longer.

Time to go to this stupid party and save all their asses. The rooms were dark and had loud blaring music everywhere I looked. I could hardly hear a thing that the teenagers around me were saying, not that I wanted to. I needed to keep a look out for Nathan and his brother Jamie. They are the ones that have the drugs. Soon enough the rest of the gang turn up and dance around. I didn't recognise a girl that Nathan brought with him. My memory isn't the best least I know the main points of the plan. I caught the name Lily or something like that. I could see Simon wasn't paying much attention that must be the reason my memory is a bit rusty. 

"You up for a pill?" The question I've been dreading all night.

"I don't take drugs" Simon defends. It's no point as Jamie has already drugged Simon's drink.

The effects start to take I could see his eyes dilate, he turned around to see a group of girls approach him now being visible to the groups around him. They were coping his dorky dance moves and whispered sweet nothings in his ear.

"This pill's doing something weird to my power, making me say what's in my head. Sometimes, I think I f**king love you," Kelly yells over the loud music the power reversing her power already. "It scares me, cos I know you'll end up hurting me, like most blokes do cos you're a useless prick just like your dad" 

"Get off me, you sk**ky b**ch!"

"Oi, you sk**k!"

"Filthy b**ch!"

"You minger!"

"Dirty little sk**k!" I heard the comments spread whenever Alisha touched them. Her power couldn't be worse. I don't see how anyone could say that to her. She's beautiful just the way she is inside and out.    

I check my watch and it's about time to stop the powers getting out of hand. Lily has intimacy issues making her cold having her power reversed it will make her hot. Having Jamie making a move on her like that it would legitimately make her spark. I run outside to the other side of the car. Check my watch again 5 seconds. Right on time the car lights to fire and Nathan runs out to try and get to Jamie. I make a dash for it pulling Nathan away from the car pinning him onto the ground.

The car explodes throwing everything in it's wake to pieces. Nathan is screaming and dashing to the car but it's too late. Jamie and Lily are gone. Unfortunately I can't save everyone's lives. One life at a time which is Nathan's. If he didn't take the drugs things would be so much easier.

I get off the ground and find that my arm is bleeding. I stand up making my way down the alleyway. I turn around and see someone moving backwards I could tell it was Simon. I spread the blood against the wall and make my way to Nikki's house tricking them so I have some time to make a plan.
