Annabelle stared glumly out the window, watching the down pour of rain. Bitterly she thought of the inevitable fate that was to come; boarding school. Despite all her efforts to get good grades and change her parents mind, they had still decided that boarding school would be the best option.

They had tried private schools, public schools, even a Christian school, but no matter how hard Annabelle tried, she just couldn't meet their expectations. Which in her opinion was not at all her fault. Their standards were ridiculous, they expected her to be perfect.

They expected straight A's and all extra credit opportunities, they expected no fights, not one bad comment from a teacher, and by no means was she to get a demerit. One demerit would've sent her parents into orbit, even for something as silly as being late.

It's not fair, Annabelle thought, their standards are impossible, I never even had a chance!

In September she had been told that Weston high, a public school, was her last chance before they'd send her off to boarding school.

She'd planned to meet all the expectations, be the perfect child they so desired, but being perfect was a hard job. Especially when your like Annabelle. She was always pegged as the "popular girl" or the "dumb blonde" or even the "beauty queen" as soon as she got to a new school. She hated these titles, though most people would do anything to get pegged as those things, Annabelle couldn't stand it.

To her it felt as though they automatically assumed that she was gonna be the school's queen bee, even if she wanted nothing to do with it. She always tried to blend in and go unnoticed but people always noticed. They noticed her straight, long, golden, blonde hair. They noticed her shiny green eyes, and her nice complexion, but with all these things they also noticed her flaws. Needless to say people will be people, and always seem to feel the need to point out other's flaws. Annabelle was no exception, her flaws were thrown back in her face just like everyone else.

Constantly reminding her that she was not perfect, and therefore would never be able to impress her parents. Being labeled as popular, dumb blonde, beauty queen, ect. Didn't help either. Sure, you'd assume that people with those labels are pretty close to perfect, but that was not true for her.

On her first day of Weston high, the first comment she'd heard about herself was "looks like the new queen showed up" which had gotten her very riled up.

Annabelle had been so upset by the guy's remark, who she later learned was named ben, that she had turned around and strutted angrily up to him.... "what'd you call me?!" She'd said, glaring ice daggers at him. "Our new queen, all hail queen...." he stopped, not knowing what to name the new queen. "Annabelle, my names Annabelle." she snapped back. "All hail queen Annabelle." Ben said with a laugh and a mocking bow.

This was the usual for her though, year after year, every new school someone would always say something generally along those lines. By the time she reached Weston high, 9th grade, she'd heard enough. "I'm so done with your stupid-ass labels, I've heard that one to many times!" She had exclaimed before punching him square in the jaw, with a satisfactory "crunch".

That had resulted in quite a few demerits, an hour long detention, and a lot of yelling from her parents. Annabelle always went into each school with a positive attitude, and tried her best but something like this always happened. Trouble seemed to follow her everywhere she went, and thinking FoxFoot academy would be any exception was just lying to herself.

In eighth grade it'd been a guy named Paul, who'd decided to called her "little miss perfect" and let's just say he'd earned himself a hard kick in the worst place possible.

In seventh it'd been a redhead called Elise, she'd come up with the clever nickname of "the schools pet blonde" Elise had been slapped hard across the face for that one.
