"You're wearing that?" Larissa interrogated with an arched eyebrow.
I glanced down at the outfit I'd been wearing when I went to hang out with Will and nodded slowly, "yeah, what's wrong with it?"
She sighed and shook her head, face palming like I was some hopeless fashion disaster, "it's a party belle! I'll pick something for you."
I raised my brows in challenge as I followed her to my closet. Larissa sifted through the hangers, finally picking out a small black dress. I stared at the sequin covered bodice and black tulle skirt, "your kidding right, rissa?"
Larissa shook her head with a big grin, "nope. Your wearing it."
"Doubt it." I mumbled under my breath as I rolled my eyes and took the dress from her.
Larissa gave me a fake pout, "please for me..."
"Ugh," I groaned, nodding in grudging agreement, "fine I'll wear it. Only because your throwing a party for me."
Larissa broke into a wide grin, clapping happily before giving me an enthusiastic thumbs up as she left my room to finish setting up the party. I sighed and switched to the dress, pausing to look in the mirror and fix my hat hair.
I could hear sounds from outside my door as people showed up and the party begun. I'd rather have just gotten together with my closest friends, but parties are fun to.
Giving an oh well look to myself in the mirror, I shrugged an emerged from my room.
Music blasted as people danced, laughed or yelled over the music in an attempt to talk to each other. I chuckled at one particularly confused pair who were shouting back and forth and couldn't hear each other to save their lives.
Larissa ran up to me, "will's here!" She announced as I chuckled slightly.
Will gave a small wave as he raised his eyebrows giving me a sup expression and nod as greeting.
Larissa vanished back into the growing crowd leaving me and Will to try hopelessly to communicate over the loud music.
"Hi!" I yelled, hoping he could hear.
He raised his brows in question, "what?" Will yelled back.
Rolling my eyes, I shook my head, deciding it was impossible to talk. Taking a hold of his hand I pulled him into the crowd, talking wasn't an option so I'd settle for just dancing.
Will grinned, spinning me as I smiled back and laughed slightly. The music couldn't have been farther off from the beat we were dancing to but that didn't matter.
Laughing, I spun him causing him to laugh as he went along with it before spinning me again.
We kept laughing just because we could as I wrapped my arms around his neck and gave him a half hug before continuing our unique dance to the blaring dub-step music.
Eventually we joined in, dancing with the beat instead of our own. We jumped with everyone else, bouncing to the beat as we fist pumped, following along with everyone else.
I motioned to Will that I'd be right back, he nodded and I headed to the door. I liked parties but I needed a bit of space for moment instead of being squished against tons of people.
Closing the door behind me, I leaned against the wall, enjoying the silence. I shut my eyes, basking in my personal space, yes I liked to have my personal space every now and then.Sighing I tipped my head back on the wall, but I flinched at the feeling of a hand on my shoulder. My eyes snapped open, realizing it was Jett who had placed his hand on my shoulder. I turned and stepped back a foot or two so his hand fell from my shoulder.
I arched an eyebrow in question, "what the hell do you want?"
He chuckled with a smirk, "oh, hoo hoo, someone's pissy."
Narrowing my eyes, I folded my arms in contempt.
Jett rolled his eyes, muttering, "drama queen." He shook his head as if pushing away a thought before continuing, "anyway, I was sent to get you."
"By who?" I questioned skeptically.
He scoffed, giving me a look that clearly asked a sarcastic really?.
My insides clenched as it dawned on me that it was his father who wanted to see me. The one who'd chased me down at the hospital, let me off easy for running away, but also left a dark lingering threat. I tensed, glancing around to look for an escape; the hallways were empty so I picked a direction.
I spun around an began to bolt down the hallway, I didn't hear any following steps and thought I'd lost him. Pulling to a halt, I turned back around and saw the straight away behind me empty.
Sighing, I turned back around only to find myself staring into swirling mysterious blue eyes.
I shrieked and jumped before staring at him in disbelief, "h-how?!"
Jett shrugged, giving me a crooked smile that held an eternity of mystery. Furrowing my brows I began to back up slowly, but he grabbed my hand and uttered something blatantly simple yet beyond confusing, "hold on, it's gonna be a bit of a rush."
It felt like wind blasting me hard from all directions as I closed my eyes and inadvertently found my self holding tightly to Jett's hand.
For a brief second I was weightless before my feet slammed into cold hard concrete and my knees buckled.
I groaned in pain as I sat up, surveying my surrounding while my legs recovered from the harsh shock.
"No, no, no, no," I began muttering as realization slapped me in the face and I knew that I was back in the basement.
