Chapter 18

It took Richard all but five minutes to get us out of his practice, me all flustered and him all smiles. The receptionist gave me a wink like she knew what going on. We entered the elevator and as soon as we were in, Richard pulled me to him giving me a soft kiss. He pulled away and smiled down to me I couldn't help but smile back.

"So Ms White where would you like go. As a baby doctor I listen to some mommies blabbing about shopping so I know of some places we can visit." He sounds like a giddy teenager which is so cute, he use to always be so professional its nice to see him is such a good mood.

"Well I am not familiar with any of this nor do I know the town, here how about you drive and I just shop?" I said handing my Jeep Keys to him.

"Sure, but lets take my car I'm the one that is taking you out." 

"Okay I hope its not any higher than my Jeep otherwise I might need a step ladder" I said and Richard chuckled. He lead me down to the underground parking where all the employees and patients cars was parked. 

"I hope you have nothing against sports cars" he said as we reached his car, Oh come on I had you but never drove you BMW i8

"I had one but never had the chance to drive it, so show me how she goes" I say with a smile.

"You had one but never had the chance to drive it? that sound strange I drive mine every opportunity I get."

"Well I left the states and I couldn't bring her with so I gave her to a friend" I say with a sighed thinking of Claressa and Colton makes me want to go home so bad but I know that is the last thing I can do.

"I don't meen to probe Eva but how can you just up and give car that is over $150,000 to a friend that is financial suicide." Must I tell him I mean he likes me already my financial status wont change that will it.

"Richard before we go I need to tell you something but promise me it won't change the way you see me." 

"Nothing you can say would change that Eva. I like you for you, the caring woman that went through hell and is now prepared to look past that and bring up a child on her own, you are one of the strongest woman I have met in my life, you remind me a lot of my mother." That little speech left me speechless.

"Well here goes nothing. My real name is Evaline in short all my old friends use to call me Eva, I took my mothers maiden name when I moved her so I could hide from my past. I don't think my real surname has relevance, but anyway as you noticed Delrick was conceived in the worst way possible. A man in our group of friend had a debt to pay that debt was owned to my high school sweet heart which I left after my mother pass away my senior year and moved to Seattle. Well I might as well tell you, I might look humble and middle class but Richard I am not short of money in anyway. Meaning if I had to disclose my fortune I think I would the third riches person in the world but I don't show it."

"Wait you are a business woman or rather a business tycoon?" I just shake my head.

"No that I sure am not. After my mother passed she left me some money my father invested it for me and seven years later I am a billionaire. My best friend didn't even know until two weeks before I left. But Mark raped me because I always refused to sleep with Case he thought that if I lost my virtue that I would come running to him and he would have my money in his grasp. But the opposite happened Mark confessed after some bad things happened in our group of friends. I think they are all looking for me but they won't find me." when I finish I look up and the look on his face is so confusing I can't make put if I see anger, no rage then concern but there is no pity no envy nothing just concern and rage.

"Eva, that is the worst thing that can happen but I don't look at you differently I still see my Eva, the one I met in my office that looked excited to become a mother and always looked for the positive. Only one question out of this whole story and you don't have to answer, why didn't you have an abortion?" I look at him with my mouth open not that I mind but of all I just told him he wants to know why I kept Delrick.
