“Eva come we have to go or we will be late for the fundraiser” that will be my best friend Claressa.
“Coming, just give me a sec” tonight is thee night, I have my own event management company and Drew Enterprises has contracted me to do the fundraiser for the fight against woman and children abuse, it’s a cause close to my heart so when they contracted us I jumped in straight away. Claressa is my business partner and best friend since our freshman year. She has the business degree and I have my event management degree it is a win win combination. Claressa does the contracts and negotiations and I do the planning and execution of the functions. We normally hire in caterers as we don’t have our own crew but the rest is done by us. Our company is called ‘Larena Event Management’ it might sound random using a name that is not mine or Claressa’s but we made a combination name with both our names and Larena was our choice.
Claressa and I are also roommate which is great because we share everything with each other, well not everything I mean if I have a man he is mine that I don’t share and Claressa has the same point of view regarding this. Well none of us has anyone special in our lives at the moment; we are way too busy building our company. We have been open since 2008 and in two years we made our name with all the major companies in town. Brown International has a five year contract with use and they have about 20 resorts and hotels over the globe. We are the only company that does there event management so we travel a lot but I am not complaining I see the world and not even on my own costs. Every time they contract us for a function that is not with in Seattle we either get driven by limousine or we get flown by private jet. I mean would you complain. Believe me there is nothing to complain about in this arrangement. No we didn’t get to be Brown Internationals event management company by pure luck we actually had a great contact on the inside and if I say great then I am referring to the Brown Twins, Alice and Leigh they are the oldest of the three Brown siblings and they went to collage with us, but the best is they are our other best friends. We don’t see them that often as they are being groomed to take over the company from their Mother, Mrs Brown, but we call her Desiree, she is like a mother to me and Claressa and in our Senior year Mr Brown passed away leaving behind his wife and children. The Brown twins has a brother called Colton who is three years younger than us but acts like a protector when it comes to us four. If you don’t know his age you would think he is three years older than us. He is tall, dark and handsome, his body is toned to perfection, not that I am drooling after my friends brother, but hey who could blame a chick for looking?
Anyway they will also be there tonight which means Seattle better be prepared because us four girls together is a force to be reckoned with. Luckily tomorrow is Sunday so having a hangover will be fine. The only thing I must prevent is breaking my neck in these heels. Tonight is a formal event so that means I am way out of my comfort zone, I have to wear a evening gown and high heels, were I normally wear pants suits and pencil skirts with relatively low heels. That is only to maintain the corporate look for when working but when I am at home my Levi’s are my best friend paired with a fitting tank top.
Claressa and I went shopping for dresses two days ago and found stunning evening gowns. I bought a royal blue dress that hugs all the right curves and flatters my figure with a slit on the left leg that runs to my mid thigh; the dress is backless with a off the shoulder. The design is plain but with the small diamond like sequences that is placed in the right places it looks spectacular. I bought a pair of silver Jimmy Choo’s to match my outfit. Claressa went for something more vibrant she bought a red and black dress with a pair of red heels.
“Okay I’m ready lets go.” I say to Claressa as I walk out of my room with calculating steps. Claressa looks up and shakes her head.
“You my dear friend will have all the males at this event drooling after you tonight. You look stunning Eva!” I actually blush at her complement; I forgot to mention I blush very, very easily.
