Asherah

A meadow.

A beautiful meadow.

Purple and yellow flowers were scattered across the bright green grass.

I looked up, I saw a woman.

She's wearing a white dress that falls to the grass.

Her brown hair cascading down her shoulders, in a waterfall.

She turns around.

Mother.

A sad smile on her face.

I run to her.

"Mom...why did you leave me?" I questioned quietly, my voice cracking.

She lifts my chin with her finger.

"I never left Asherah... I'm right here.."

She whispered while whipping my tears away.

Her chocolate eyes shining with love.

" you must trust your heart..trust your friends..your father.."

Her voice wavers as she whispers to me, moving my hair out of my eyes. "

You are now the princess of the sea... You've always been...lead with beauty, power, and patience... but most importantly...

Love."

Her finger pointed to my heart.

"I'm here. Always... I'll be waiting my love. Watching you become the person you are supposed to be"

She kissed my forehead, a tear running down her face.

Arabella

We took the princess to her chambers.

Standing inside her room by the doors.

We couldn't risk her swimming away.

I glanced at Miro, he still looked heartbroken.

I knew that even though he didn't like to express his emotions, didn't mean he didn't have any.

 Asherah's his mate.

Any person with eyes could see that.

The way he looks at her with love and pride.

She returns it, even though she doesn't realize it.

"So how does it feel to have a mate?"

I asked, bumping his shoulder and wiggling my eyebrows.

He looked up in shock. His eyes were wide.

"How did you know she's my mate?"

He asked quietly not wanting to disturb the princess's slumber.

"Please anyone with eyes could see that...And you know you can't hide anything from me"

 I nudged his shoulder,

"I'm your best friend" I smiled lightly.

"Yeah whatever," he said quietly his cheeks turning a rosy color.

Poseidon

"sire...?"

My assistant questioned, I moved my hand dismissing him.

My Cora. She's gone now.

I knew this day would come. But why today?

I had hoped maybe it wouldn't happen in front of me.

In front of my heart.  My daughter.

I hoped she wouldn't leave me. Alone.

I looked down at my golden throne chair. My eyes couldn't help but look over to My queen's chair.

Tears flowing through the now cold water, a quiet sob filling the ocean's darkness.

The woman that stole my heart... is now gone.

Truth be told she didn't really steal it. You can't steal something that was given to you for free.

I gave her my heart, my power. I loved her and always will. My everything. My Cora.

My shoulders now shaking as my cries grow louder.

How could I give her my heart to love, just for her to take it with her where's she's now at peace?

I guess she really is a thief.

My love.

Cora.
