Since Amy and I had the same first class and Raven's was in the opposite side of the school, we separated as soon as we got into the building. Amy and I walked to Algebra together,
"So... did you do the homework?" I asked.
"No, did you?"
"No, I never do it. I think homework is stupid, mostly because Julia won't give me a space to do it."
"You mean your stepmonster?" Amy laughed, "Don't you have your own room?"
"Yes I have a room, but it's always messy."
"Then it's really your fault!"
"I guess," we both started cracking up.
RING! RING! RING!
"Crap! The minute bell!" I started running "Come on Amy!"
Amy and I ran as fast as we could (without getting caught by the teachers) to Algebra.
RING! RING! RING!
We rushed in the door and sat in our seats. Luckily we weren't marked tardy, Mrs. Johnson was always late.
