21. Ring

Akashi's POV:

"I am going to do it, yes, I'm going to ask him. Nothing can stop me. I'm going to ask him" I said to myself while I continued to walk back and forth "That's...great Akashi but if you don't mind I really need to get to surgery" said Shintaro standing up, I just nodded wiping the sweat off the palms of my hands and with that he left.

I don't know what to do with myself, I decided it was finally time literally last night and I have been avoiding Tetsuya ever since...I know I know it's ridiculous but I'm actually extremely nervous, I came to Shintaro's Hospital to try to calm myself down but it really didn't work. And I can't ask Kise to help me because I know he's going to tell Tetsuya so my best option right now is...Nash.

"The fuck do you want" politely said Nash after answering the phone "For you to help me pick a ring, be at my house in an hour" I ordered "What the sh-" I hung up and got out of my friends office to walk to my car. I told Nash to meet me in an hour because I have to go to the academy, I left before Tetsuya woke up and didn't text or call him, I don't want him to get the wrong idea so I want to visit him.

I quickly arrived at the academy and they let me in because I go there constantly and they know me, I noticed the classrooms were empty so I figured it was lunch time and went to the teachers office, there it was, a blue haired beauty eating his lunch with a pout and an Ogiwara trying to cheer him up. I knocked and opened the door but Tetsuya still didn't see me so I stood behind him and gave him a kiss on the top of his head.

"Seijuuro" he said "why yes, my love" I kneeled to his level so I could see him clearly, he looked at me and leaned in to kiss me "No, don't talk to me" that sent me into panic "What? Why not? Did I do something?" I asked, knowing damn well what I did "Whit? Whi nit? Did I di simithing" he mocked me and I tried not to laugh, this is serious but he looked adorable "YES! Akashi you didn't talk to me this morning, in fact, I didn't even see you this morning, and then you didn't call me or answered my text, what the fuck?" He said with a deep frown, I grabbed both of his hands and kissed the back of them trying to calm myself from the shock of him using my last name.

"Darling, I sincerely apologize for the damage I have caused, I needed to discuss stuff with Shintaro and that's why I left early, I forgot my phone in the car and I just got out of the meeting" I said sweetly, he just turned his head and crossed his arms "Let me make it up to you. Dinner tonight at seven. Please? My love?" I requested, I knew that name was his weakness and fortunately it worked, although he didn't change his position he blushed "Fine" he murmured "Thank you dearest, I'll pick you up" I smiled.

"Yes yes just leave" he said smiling this time, I was about to leave but I stole a kiss on the lips first "Sei! Go now!" He laughed "alright" I chuckled making my way to the door, a lot more relaxed now. Those tantrums, those loving eyes, those smiles, blushes and laughs, they're all mine, I don't have to worry about a negative outcome, everything is going to be just fine, he loves me and I love him, and we are going to continue being happy together, always.

I got to my house and read something waiting for my boyfriends friend, a while later he was finally here and we made our way to a jewelry store, I would go to one in the mall but everyone knows me and Tetsuya there, now in this store, not everyone can come in, this is only for the best of the best, and well, me and Tetsuya are the best of the best. What I also like about this, is that it's very discreet, they have a contract with the media about paparazzis so I don't have to worry about that.

"Good afternoon Mr.Akashi, Mr.Gold, I'm Claire. it Is a pleasure to have you two gentlemen, may I assist you with something?" A lady in a black suit welcomed and asked us "Show me your best engagement rings" I told her "Very well, follow me please" she said and we did so.

She showed us a variety of rings and after a while we were left with three options. First, a simple one, because that's how my Tetsuya likes to keep things, simple, it was a gold ring with a somehow medium sized diamond with little diamonds on the sides too, it looks pretty and delicate, just like him, that one costs about 25 thousand dollars...it's fine but I think I could do better.

"Mhmm I like it but Don't you think it's too cheap?" I asked Nash, the woman chocked in air for some reason but we ignored her "For you? Definitely. But let's leave it as an option, it reminds me of Tet and you know he likes simple stuff...I still don't know how you got him to accept that 12 thousand dollars worth bracelet" he shook his head "He kind of thinks it's only worth five thousand...so don't say anything to him" I requested "Man, this is Kuroko Tetsuya we're talking about, he probably already knows"

Second. It was thicker and it was a silver ring with diamonds besides the bigger one, I immediately discarded that option, is something mother would make me buy to him and he would never accept it. I picked it out of instinct.

Third. It was very similar to the first one, but the diamond was slightly bigger and it had a piece of blue diamond in the center. It was elegant and beautiful, not too simple, not too extravagant. The gold in the ring was worth more than the first one, so this ring would cost me 40 thousand dollars, it's just perfect for my love, blue is clearly his color, and just like the price difference surprised me, his whole persona blew me away since the first date, that day was when I knew I wasn't going to be alone, ever, and it felt just right. I would pay millions and millions of dollars for a ring if it made him happy, I would do anything just to make him happy, it's ridiculous how much I love him. I know money is nothing to him, and I think no amount of money could ever do justice to the love we have for each other. He will always be the best thing that ever happened to me.
