PROLOGUE

I am here now in my bedroom preparing for the coming entrance for next school year. Sa isang araw na kasi ang pasukan at sa famous school pa ako na- enroll ng tita ko, sa School Of Magical Ability.

I'm in senior high, so I need to habilitate my study, or kung hindi patay ako sa Auntie ko. My Aunt only took care of me because my parents are dead. She's kind pero nakaka-takot siya pag nagalit.

"Hacashi, come here and we'll eat." Auntie shouted from the kitchen. "I'm coming." I answered and ran to the stairs to go to the kitchen. Napangiti ako nang ma-amoy ko ang favorite dish ko, the meat.

I immediately sat down on the chair and spooned rice and pork. I smiled a lot because it was really delicious. "Masarap ba Hacashi?" Auntie asked with a smile,so I nodded twice while smiling. "Are you preparing for the entrance in the next two days?"

Tanong ni Tita habang nakain. "Yes Auntie. Auntie Can I ask something? Bakit sa famous school niyo po ako en-enroll? You can enroll me naman po sa public school lang not in the famous school." I asked, napatingin sa akin si tita bago siya sumagot. "That's where your mother and I studied before."she answered calmly so I nodded.

My Aunt and I looked at the door when there was a knock on it, so I ran to the door and opened it. Jam, my boy best friend since childhood, appeared in front of me. It smiled as it looked at me. "Oh bakit Jam?" astonished I asked him. "I just miss you Hacashi." He replied smiling, so I laughed. "Tsk, come and eat here." I answered and returned to the chair and he followed me when he closed the door.

"Hi Tita." He greeted, and sat down next to me."Kamusta ka Jam?" Tita asked cheerfully. "Okay naman Tita."sagot niya habang nakangiti. Masayahing lalaki talaga si Jam kaya close na close kami niyan.

"Hey, Hacashi where are you going to study? I'm at the School of Magical Ability. How about you?" He asked me with a smile so I smiled too, because we have the same school. "Same." sagot ko, he nodded and smiled. "Jam, Hacashi, kumain na. Mamaya na kayo mag-usap." Auntie calmly said, so Jam spooned some food and I started eating as well.

After we ate, Jam and I went to town to buy our uniforms. "Ale, mag-kano po itong hairpin?" Jam asked smiling. Who will use the hairpin he will buy? "Seven pesos hijo."sagot ng Ale . Ang mura, sa ibang Ale ten pesos ang hairpin. "Pabili po ako ng isa."

Jam said smiling and took one. I was shocked when he put the hairpin in my hair. "Yaan,bagay pala sayo."He laughed. "Here's the fee."saad niya sa Ale sabay bigay sa bayad. "Bagay kayo." The ale said so I looked at her.

"Magaling po kasi kayong gumawa ng hairpin." I answered. "I'm not referring to a hairpin. Sabi ko kayong dalawa, bagay kayo." she said while looking at Jam who was just smiling now. So I'm deaf now.

I just laughed because of the embarrassment of my deaf. "Oh, he is? That's my friend since I was a child."I answered and smiled softly at the Ale. I pulled Jam who was just looking at me now.

I pulled him into an empty seat on the side and sat there, nilapag namin ang mga binili naming mga uniforms at kung ano-ano pa. He was just looking at me now as I was looking at the people who passed in front of us. "Hey." He called so I looked at him. "H-huh,why?" nagtatakang tanong ko sa kaniya kaya natawa siya.

Why is he laughing?

There was nothing funny.

"Why are you laughing?" I asked him. "Why are you stunned?" He asked me with a smile so I looked again at the people who passed by. "Wala." I have no desire to answer. "I'm just thinking about what the Ale said earlier, that's something— “He didn't continue,because he looked at the men na nakakabayo .

He immediately grabbed my hand and took the belongings once pulled to a large tree. I wondered looking at him, why we were hiding?

"Pst,ano bang meron?"Nagtatakang tanong ko sa kaniya. "Andito sila Set." He replied seriously while peeking at the people. Omg Set. Set is a rude and disrespectful man. Love to mess and live anywhere. He also had many quarrelsome children of the nobles. He was also imprisoned before, I don't know how he got out.

I also peeked at the people who are now in trouble dahil sa pang-gugulo nila Set. He now throws the wares of Ale's on the floor. "Kawawa naman ang mga Ale,they will lose money because of Set. Their wares are ruined." I said annoyed while still peeking. The Ales are already crying because of what Set doing.

Suddenly Set disappeared from my sight. I looked behind me because maybe he saw us, I mean ako lang pala.

Where is Jam now?

I saw Jam and Set face each other now I was a bit far from them. They were only three steps away from each other. Suddenly Set released the powers in his hand and it was water.

Jam, on the other hand, began to float rocks at kung ano-ano pang nasa paligid. I immediately hugged the ones we bought because they might get involved. I was stunned at them when they threw powers.

Oh my gosh.

All the rocks that rush at Set penetrate the water so he just runs away. "The powers you have are strong Jam." Insultong sabi ni Set.I can hear them,of course. Jam stopped, so the rocks and other objects floating near him fell.

Set, on the other hand, just smiled like he was going crazy now. "Bakit ba galit ka sa akin?" nakangising tanong ni Set. "Because you're ruining the Ale's wares here." Jam shouted seriously. I looked at the Ale's again and Set's companions ay tuluyan paring nang-gugulo.

Are they happy with what they are doing to cause trouble here in town. You think they don't have parents because of what they do. I looked at Jam again and they were both angry that they were about to kill each other.

I dropped the ones we bought on the ground and quickly went between the two of them. Actually I was just jogging. "Wait please stop. Hey, Set if you and your friends can't do anything, can you not feel sorry for people who aren't doing anything to you."I said angrily to Set while pointing my finger at him.

"We're all quiet here, then mang-gugulo ka." I added. I frowned as he smiled. "You didn't tell Jam, that your beautiful friend was with you." He laughed. "Hi. Hacashi how are you?Alam mo bagay tayong dalawa."He laughed. Naiinis ako, pigilan niyo ako.

I looked at Jam who was now serious and his fists were shaking in anger. I couldn't see the joy in his eyes as he looked straight at Set.

"Please Set leave." I shouted ,dahil I know iba magalit si Jam. He can kill, when there are pitiful ones. Jam is a kind person so he doesn't want to see people who are sad and miserable especially if they are close to him. "I'll be back young lady." He laughed and disappeared. I looked again at Jam who was now breathing deeply. I quickly approached him.

"They're gone I'm sure." I promised him and I smiled softly. So he was very angry with those like Set because his Grandmother died at the hands of those like Set. Her Grandmother also used to sell here.
