Cordelia
The next morning came soon enough, with the sun blaring through the gaps in the curtains. My eyes fluttered open due to the annoying ringing of my alarm clock making me roll out of bed lazily.
"Morning Lex," I yawned out, rubbing my eyes as I shuffled over to the bathroom.
"Morning Dee," Lexi sang back. She had always been a morning person.
We all got ready for the day and headed out to meet the boys in the common room.
"There you are! Bloody hell that took you long enough," Leon exclaimed as he embraced Lexi into a warm hug, planting a long kiss on the top of her head, which made me smile at the two of them.We all began to depart when a certain someone's presence came upon me.
"Good morning Cordelia," Mattheo spoke to me with a slight smile tugging at his lips. I almost turned my nose up at the use of my full name. No one ever really called me Cordelia. Only professors or my mother when I was in serious trouble.
"Ugh don't call me that," I said with a laugh.
"It's your name isn't it?" He said confused.
"Yeah but it just sounds so... formal." I complained. He laughed. "You can call me Delia, Dee or Lia. Take your pick."
"What about Cord." He said. I contemplated it.
"Hmm. Yeah I could work with that." I smiled. "So now that we got that all sorted, how was your first night at Hogwarts?"
"Not too bad." He answered, "how'd you sleep?"
"Not too bad," I retaliated with a smile before making my way to join the rest of the group.
We made our way to the Great Hall where we ate breakfast and got our new time tables. Like usual, I pretty much had the same classes with all of my friends, the only new ones being with Mattheo: Potions, DADA, Astronomy and Transfigurations.
First period was charms so Leon, Lexi, Pansy, Enzo and I made our way to professor Flitwick's classroom.
Lexi pulled up beside me steering me away from our charms group."Soooo" she said, extending the "o" sound. " how many classes do you have with the mysterious Riddle boy?" she asked teasingly.
"God Lex, you're never going to give this up are you?" I said exhaling a long sigh. She shook her head rapidly with a beaming smile plastered on her face. "four, why?" I finally responded looking at her questioningly.
"That's great! That means you have four lessons to bond with him in!" She squealed.
"Why are you pushing this so much Lex?" I asked with a light laugh.
"Because." She stated matter-of-factly. "Look, I saw the way you looked at each other in the great hall when he first arrived, and don't lie to me and say that you didn't feel anything when you certainly did!" She said accusingly.
