We were all packed and ready to go, waiting on the Hogwarts Express to take us home to our families. Our carriage was beginning to fill up with empty sweet wrappers as each of us devoured the delicious goods.

I still hadn't given Mattheo an answer and I could tell he was agitated. He was sat across from me, gazing out the window, watching flashes of different shades of green blink across the glass. Every now and then I would catch him staring at me and I would look away, catching my slightly disfigured reflection in the glass panel, cheeks hot.

"Ok, so everyone's coming to ours for New Years, right?" Leon asked as he came to the bottom of his box of Bertie Botts every flavored beans.

"I think so," I verified. "We'll do Secret Santa then too."

"Sounds good," Enzo replied with a warm smile.

The conversation continued until none of us could think of anything else to say, dwindling into a comfortable silence. I felt my eyelids grow heavy, and even if there was only half an hour left of the journey, my head had dropped onto Leon's shoulder and my eyes closed. I let my thoughts become images in my mind and soon my brain became a gallery.

The train pulled into the station giving off a deafening whistle as the breaks hissed with the friction of the tracks. One by one, we clambered off, retrieving our bags and making our way into the hustle of relieved parents collecting their children. Lexi's younger sister Freya, who was in her first year at Hogwarts, and Venus' younger sister Georgina had joined us. I could see my mother waving to me from beside Leon's, a wide grin on her face mixed with relief. We walked over, each of our trunks and pets spread out across different trolleys.

"Hello darling, How are you?" Leon's mother, Odette greeted Leon, embracing him in a hug which he reciprocated, giving her a kiss on the cheek.

"Hi mum, I'm doing ok. How's everyone at home?" Leon asked.

"Your father's ok. Xander's missed you and can't wait to see everyone," she answered with a warm smile. Odette Albertine was a beautiful woman. Her eyes were fierce, earthy green, ones you could see a whole world within. And her hair was so bright it looked like it was glowing. She was like treasure, precious and perfect.

"Awe, well I've missed Xander too," Leon sighed. Everyone made conversation as we waited for the other's parents to turn up. I noticed Mattheo had lost interest in the conversation, his mind wandering elsewhere. Leon must of noticed too as he suddenly remembered that he needed introducing. "Oh, Mum and Mrs Norwood, this is-"

"Mattheo," the suddenly interested boy interjected, adverting his attention back to the group. He walked past Leon, giving both our mothers a kiss on the hand. I found myself rolling my eyes at how quickly he could turn on the gentleman act.
