"Bunny!"

I dropped everything the moment my eyes landed on the little fluff ball in Emma's hands. I hadn't even stopped to breathe, because... well. Bunny.

"Hello to you too, Y/N." Mikey taunted, his head against the back of the chair he was sitting in.

"I don't think she can see anything but that.... thing, right now." Draken laughed, with the hint of an uncomfortable pause between his words.

"Emma... can I hold it, please? Please. It's so little...."

Baji watched me with his brows raised, while Hina just had a smile on her face, all too familiar with my obsession with rabbits.

Emma gently handed it to me with care, as I scratched the back of its ears affectionately.

"Click a picture, Hina."

"Are you forgetting that it's my birthday?"

Baji's words fell on deaf ears. Hina was busy clicking my pictures with the bunny, while Mikey was still squinting at me with distaste.

"I think I'm full- Y/N!"

"Chifuyu!"

Both of our voices held equal enthusiasm, as I put the creature down with a heavy heart, and got up to greet the cheerful blond. I tackled him in an energetic embrace, making Mikey whistle softly.

"It's my bunny, by the way. His name is Butter." The name made me melt immediately, as I repeated it over and over to see if he reacted to it, "I couldn't leave him alone since he's very small, and you know, Baji, being the gentleman he is, let me bring him to his house."

"Thank you for everything, Chifuyu. I'm in love with Butter now."

"Ah... you know what. Just... go into the kitchen and help yourself whenever you feel like it." The birthday boy groused.

"Can we play a game of truth and dare... please?" Hina's small voice emerged from the back, all of us suddenly falling mute.

"Absolutely not-" Mikey interrupted.

"After I eat, yes. Carry on, you guys." I cut him off, asking the directions for the kitchen.

"Why do you guys hate me so much?"

They huddled together to form a circle, as I was busy maneuvering my way through the halls in search of something to stuff my empty stomach with. Excitement flashed through my eyes when I spotted a tray of freshly baked muffins.

"Baji.... you're an angel."

I casually nibbled on one, a sigh of content escaping my lips. Starving for the whole day and then tasting something so terribly delicious held a different kind of ecstasy. I settled myself on the top of the marble counter, swinging my legs as I continued to eat.

It had barely been three minutes and only a few bits of its crumbs were left. Burping, I wiped my cheeks with my sleeve, as I heard the faint click of the knob twisting. The door opened to reveal the familiar lavender-haired lad, an absent smile on his face.

"Hey, Mitsuya. You're late." I sent a small wave his way.

"Oh. I got here pretty early, I just went out with Takemichi to get some stuff for Baji— hey, did you see a plate of muffins here?"
