Chapter 2

A week Later
Amy is sitting on the couch reading Ty’s Jornal

8/12/2006

I came home to find Wade drunk off his ass again. I had no idea where my mom was but I didn’t have much time to find out because before I knew it he was beating the crap out of me. I ran upstairs to my room to hide where I found my mom hiding in my closet. She still insist that he loves us that he promise he’ll change and my dad won’t answer the phone but I’m scared to stay living here and my face hurts so bad….

Suddenly someone starts walking up the stairs and Amy runs to put Ty’s journal away as she rushes back into the room Lou looks at her like she’s gone insane.
“What’s up with you?” Asked Lou.
“I’ve been reading Ty’s journal and I don’t want him to find out,” Explains Amy.
“See I told you it’d be a good book,” Lou reminds her.
“I know I’m hooked but it also bothers me because I basically enjoy reading my husband's trauma...don’t you think that’s wrong?” Asked Amy, unsure.
“You know him better than anyone and we all know Ty had a traumatizing past, This isn’t news Amy,” Said Lou.
“I guess,” Said  Amy, unsure.
“So are you going to talk to him?” Asked Lou, anxious.
“I don’t know what to say…” Said Amy.
“Just say out of curiosity you started to read his journal but you think I’d make a really good book,” Suggests Lou.
“I’ll think about it,” Said Amy, still unsure.
Suddenly Ty walks into the loft.
“Think about what?” Asked Ty.
“That I’ve been reading your journal,” Amy admits.
“You what?!” Said Ty, upset.
“I’m sorry...Ty I just got so curious and once I started reading it I couldn’t stop,” Amy explains.
“Yo-you liked reading it?” Asked Ty, hurt.
“Ty it’s not a bad thing, it’s a really good story,” Lou explains.
“You read it too?” Ty asked, upset.
“Not much but it was still really good,” Said Lou.
“No it wasn’t! It’s awful okay? It’s all the awful things have happened to me. How could you think that’s entertaining to read?” Asked Ty, hurt.
Ty starts to walk away
“Ty that’s not what I meant,” Amy said trying to explain herself.
Ty just walks out of the loft.
Amy sits down.
“I knew he’d be upset,” Said Amy on the verge of crying.
Lou wraps her arms around Amy.
“Just give him some time,” Said Lou, softly.
