Chapter 15

"Emma ko, ba't sobrang ganda mo ngayon?"

"If the equation contains any fractions use the least common denominator to clear---"

"Simplify both sides of the equation---"

"Emma ko, gusto mo ba ng maiiinom---"

"Letche ka, wag mo nga akong kausapin!" Emma growled at him.

His eyes sparked.

I throw a glanced at her and she stopped laughing.

"Stop chitchatting here and practice your music! Baka nakakalimutan mong bukas ka na magpeperform," I said with a strict voice.

A second later, I can hear the sound of her violin again.

She's really scared and nervous. Most of the time, we'll just talk about how nervous she will be tomorrow.

And we're not actually practicing on her playing, mas problemado kami sa mga nota na madali niya lang makalimutan.

So, I have to tutor her again and again, cause she's forgetting every note all the time.

But a thought striked me. Why did Kaori entered a contest? Gusto niya bang manalo or something?

"Do you intend to win this tomorrow, Kaori?"

"Obviously, Yuki."

I eyed her curiously. "Why? Akala ko ba ayaw mong sumali? What made you changed your mind?"

She sat on an old wooden chair. Mukha siyang nag-iisip.

"Sa tingin mo, bakit ako sumali? My gosh, Yuki! Common sense please!"

"Huh?"

She sarcastically rolled her eyes.

"Duh, malamang! I need money!"

My brows furrowed. "Really?"

"Well, there are other reasons. I came this far alive because of our restaurant. Pero ang tanong, may heart transplant bang mangyayari?" she asked me with a teasing voice as if it was just a joke.

"You won't die, right?" napalakas ang boses ko.

Napatigil ang dalawa at napatingin sa amin. I saw Emma's expression changed.

"Of course. I won't leave you," she said it as if she don't mean it. Her teasing smile grew wider.

"Then stop joking like that!
