 "Eda."

Was someone calling her name?

"Eda."

She knew that voice... But the person it belonged to wasn't supposed to be next to her, was he?

"Eda, can you hear me? Please wake up. Eda."

"Hmm..."

Eda furrowed her brows and scrunched up her nose. She felt like she was lost in a deep fog but the clouds were slowly starting to clear as she moved her head. She managed to lift her heavy eyelids but closed them, blinking when the bright lights blinded her. When she opened them again, they fixed upon the same beautiful hazel-green eyes that she last recalled seeing before blacking out.

They were so sparkly and beautiful. She felt so safe and protected gazing into them. She sighed contently and smiled softly. When she looked further down, she saw the perfect nose underneath, perfect for rubbing noses against it wasn't it? Oh and those full lips, they were moving, captivating her. She wondered what they would feel like on...

"Eda! Thank God you're awake! How are you feeling?"

Eda's eyes looked up again and she blinked twice, her neurons finally connecting. She realized the position she was in. She was practically lying on the floor with Serkan supporting her against his chest as he was kneeling on the floor himself. When she lifted her face, she saw that a small crowd was gathered around them.

Oh no.

"Serkan?"

"Eda, how do you feel? Are you hurt?"

She frowned as she straightened up. "No. I'm good. How long have I been out?"

"Maybe five minutes? I was so worried! You were so pale! Careful there!"

He helped her get to her feet, holding onto her arms as she got up. "I'm fine. Don't worry."

"What are you doing here?" He frowned when she gasped. "What?"

"Serkan, you have to get me out of here. Lütfen!"

She was so terrified now that she remembered what had caused her to panic. She couldn't comprehend what was going on. Who was that man? What did it have to do with her grandmother? She must have looked very distressed because he didn't ask any further questions, just took her hands.

"Breathe. Come with me."

She let him lead her outside. He called for his car and it came just as they were reaching the bottom of the stairs. He opened the door for her and she didn't hesitate in climbing inside. He rounded the car and got in next to her before the chauffeur drove away.

They stayed in silence for a while. She was shaking and breathing deeply in and out to relax herself. He observed her. She could feel his gaze on her even with her eyes closed. The tension slowly rose as she came to realize that she was with him, with Serkan, after what had felt like an eternity.

She opened up her eyes and turned her face to look at him. Her breath got caught in her throat under the intensity of his gaze. She detailed his appearance and found him even more handsome than she had ever seen him. His black suit made him look elegant and powerful. And she became oddly aware of the fact that they were alone in a small space.

She gulped. "Ne? What are you thinking about?"

"You." He replied in a raspy voice that made a swarm of butterflies wake up in her belly. "You are incredibly beautiful. Stunning."

"Thank you. You don't look too bad yourself."

He laughed and she instantly felt better. She declared in her mind that his laugh was the most beautiful sound she had ever heard in her life. They fell silent again. Each of them smiled in their corner while throwing little glances to the other from time to time. She noticed how he didn't question her, certainly waiting for whichever destination they were heading to.
