Prompt: "We will open a library for children. And we will try to make them read. Our children as well. They will be so lucky because they will have a mother like you. – And no matter what, will their dad keep on loving me? – Their dad will always, always love you deeply. He will love you to infinity." - Ep. 37
The sound of the alarm clock rang loudly, breaking the peace of the early morning. Serkan groaned as he turned around and cut it, then resumed his position putting his arm above Eda's body and pulling her closer. She sighed in her sleep and snuggled even closer. Nothing could be heard for another fifteen minutes before a second ring was heard, startling Serkan again. He blinked a few times, taking a moment to clear his mind. He cut the sound once again then looked at his sleeping wife in his arms. He put a soft kiss on her forehead then her cheek, rubbing his beard on her skin to try and wake her up but the only response he got from her was a groan and her turning away from him.
He chuckled slightly but decided to give her a few minutes of added sleep and got up from the bed. He silently made his way out the door, grabbing his bathrobe on the way. He headed downstairs to get the coffee machine working and started to dress the table and take all they would need for breakfast out of the fridge. Once he was done and had poured the beloved liquid in the mugs, he headed back upstairs but not to his room. Instead he went to the room of their oldest daughter.
He knocked softly on the door and entered the room. He smiled as he took in the sight if his little girl. She was sprawled on the bed like a starfish, face down, her reddish-gold curls forming a halo around her head and covering her sweet little face. Serkan sat down next to her on the bed, listening to her soft little snores that she had inherited from her mom for a few seconds before waking her up. He caressed her head softly, enjoying these last few seconds of peace before his little spitfire of a daughter would be up.
"My little butterfly. It's time to wake up." He said softly as he kept on stroking her soft hair.
He heard as she inhaled loudly then she shifted her head to his side, still sleeping. One other thing she had inherited from her mother was her deep heavy slumber. One had to try really hard in order to wake her up. Serkan stroked her hair again but she only scrunched up her nose and closed her eyes more tightly covering her face with her hand.
"You know that I can see you right?" He said and she groaned. "Hadi Miray!"
"Babaaaa!" The little girl pleaded with a moan. "I sleepy. Let me sleep more lütfen."
"We have a big day today my baby! Do you remember?"
Miray finally opened her eyes and frowned. She lifted up her head to look at her father with her big brown eyes and Serkan smiled at her.
"Günaydın my butterfly."
She sat up and rubbed her eyes sleepily. "Günaydın baba."
"Did you sleep well?"
The little girl nodded and yawned. "What day is today?"
"Today is Wednesday. Do you remember what we talked to you guys about Wednesday?"
She furrowed her brows for a few seconds trying to remember then suddenly opened her eyes wide when it hit her. "Oh! It's Baba and Anne's library opening!"
"Aynen öyle! Good job my princess!"
Serkan kissed her forehead and laughed when he saw how excited she was; she was definitely awake right now. "Does it mean that we'll see the big big house that you made with anne?"
Serkan nodded. "But first we need to get ready and I need your help because anne won't wake up!"
Miray giggled putting her two hands on her mouth. "Baba! You always need me to wake up anne!"
