Chapter 35

Jisoo's POV

I approached Jennie in the bed. She was still crying. I touched her hair.

"T-thanks Chu. Do you think she–"

"Nope. I used all my connections. Lisa can't find you and she also doesn't know you're here." 

Lisa's secretary is good for tracing the location so I did everything I could, not to find Jennie. Gio is more than a secretary to Lisa. I sat down next to her. Jennie sat up while covering her face and crying. I don't wanna see my bestfriend in this state. It hurts me seeing her like this. So broken full of pains and sorrows in her heart.

"I'm tired ... I'm going to finish this." her voice cracks. I hugged her so she cried even more. I wanna beat Lisa. That woman is confusing.

"Are you sure?" I ask caressing her silky hair. She nodded. I let go of the hug. I lowered her hand and wiped away her tears.

Please Jennie be strong.

"Y-yes ... I love Lisa but it hurts. Why is it that when I love her, pain is always with her?" I didn't answer because I don't what to say. "... And that pain is slowly consuming me and now, I can't take it." Her face becomes etched with sadness.

She's tired. I can see it in her eyes.

I'm trying hard also not to cry. I texted Rosé. I asked what Lisa and she were doing. She replied immediately. Rosé knew that Jennie is here and I tell her not to tell Lisa.

Drowning herself in alcohol. I can't stop her.

I took a deep breath and hid my phone in my pocket. Jennie is sobbing loudly. I do nothing but to hug her all day. This is all I can do as her bestfriend.

It's been one week. Jennie is pretty okay but she still doesn't come home and Lisa seems to be going crazy. Sometimes I go to her to visit her in their house. I can just see that there are bottles of wine on the floor and a lot of broken things. The window of their living room is broken into pieces and Rosé told me that Lisa threw a bottle to the window being mad because they cannot trace where Jennie was. I told that to Jennie, she was worried and controlling herself not to go to Lisa. But the pain she felt prevailed. Lisa also confronted Kai but Kai did not speak. He's the one who brought Jennie here. Kai was about to be taken to the hospital when Lisa beat his ass.

I approached Jennie who was on the balcony. I'm holding a tray full of her favorite snacks.

"Jendeuk let's eat." I smiled fondly at her. She gave me a weak smile. Her eyes was swollen. Every night she still cries. I sat beside her and stare outside. It's dark outside so the city lights are a beautiful sight.

"I've decided ..." I looked at Jennie. "to go to New Zealand and I have a favor Jisoo." I was surprised by what she said. Why?

"What is it?" I said while drinking my juice.

"Please process our divorce papers."

Wth!

I spill the juice.

"W-what did you say?!"

"I'm divorcing Lisa."

"I mean what the fuck? are-are you damn sure? or maybe you're–"

"I'm sure Chu. I'm tired and Nancy is right. I'm the one who ruins their family."

"Lisa told that she doesn't love Nancy right? You said it to me and that's what you heard ... you are making a hurry decision."
