Chapter 30

Jennie's POV

I went inside Kai's condo. He invite me to have dinner.

"Is it cooked? I'm already hungry." I said laughing. He lowered his head.

"Not yet. A little more minutes Jennie." I followed him in the kitchen. My stomach became more upset when I smelled what he was cooking.

"Lisa already knows you're here?"

"No, she would be angry."

"We're screwed." Kai said while laughing.

I didn't get her permission because I knew she would get angry.

"It's okay I'll just say it when I get home."

I put my bag on the table and sat down.

"It's done!" he said. He took the bowl and translated what he had cooked. I smiled. He still cooks for me to this day.

"What did you cook?"

"It's a Filipino dish, like chicken and sour stew."

I gave him a confused face. I looked at what he offered. It smells so good though.

"What is that?" I ask.

"A roasted chicken and sour stewed dish."

"Really? I want to try it."

He jumped in joy and gave me a bowl of what is this? yeah right sour stew? Kai loves wanted to try differents foreign dishes. I sip it and my face crinkles. It's sour!

"Sour but delicious." I commented. I also bit the chicken he says. I give him a thumbs up. It is delicious, a bit salty and the meat is soft.

"It's so good."

"Its one of my favorite Filipino dish."

"Have you been to the Philippines?"

"Yes, when I was young. I plan to visit there when I had time." he replied.

He removed his apron and sat across from me. We prayed first before eating. After eating, we continued the story in the living room. Kai gave me a glass and poured a wine.

"I remember those days when you always treat me after class with Jisoo."

"Yeah, because you're always hungry."

"Because of our math professor. His voice was drowsy makes me want to sleep."

"Wait! I think I remember something there!" I said. "When we were cutting class! Me, Jisoo, Nayeon, Irene and you!" I exclaimed.

"Yeah! I'm your only male friend. I was even mistaken a gay for hanging out!"

"I almost broke my bone, you idiots! All of you made me jumped me on the wall so we could get out!"

"You three are slow. We'll be caught if Jisoo doesn't jump right away!"

I laughed out loud. God! I remember Jisoo falling into the mud because it was near the canal. She doesn't talked to Irene for three days because she was the one who initiated our cutting. Jisoo and me are afraid of heights.

"It's annoying because our prof always scolds the five of us." Kai said while laughing.

"He even more got mad because of what you did! You fell asleep during our finals!"

"It's not just me! Nayeon was there too. She's having a bad dream causing to slapped the professor!"

I burst out laughing when I remembered that. I hit Kai so hard that he accidentally threw the wine he was drinking at me.
