Jennie's POV

"No! It's impossible that I'm still married!" I couldn't help but to raise my voice.

"That's what your civil status says, Ma'am." polite answer of the woman. Kai touched my shoulder. I looked at him. I felt guilty when he just had a slight smile.

"Are you sure about that?" Kai asked. The woman nodded and replied.

"Yes. You are married to ..." the woman looked at me "... Lalisa Manoban."

It's her again. I sighed in disbelief. I still can't really escape from her. Kai checked the computer and looked at me seriously.

"Jennie you're still married to her." Kai said. I massaged my head. It's pounding. Why Lisa didn't sign it?

"That's impossible! I told my lawyer to send her the papers." I answered. The woman cleared her throat and started to spoke. I feel what she has to say but I still want to hear it.

"There are many possible reasons Ma'am ..." she trailed. Kai held my hand beside me. He smiled painfully.

"First, your lawyer did not bring it to your wife. Second, it was not approved by the court and third ...." I become more attentive and felt Kai's hand tighten. "Your wife didn't sign it."

"Fuck." Kai hissed.

"We're already taking care of the wedding." I said, begging.

"I'm sorry Ma'am but you can process a marriage license. It's better that you talk to your wife about the reason. If you file an annulment again, it will be a long process and very expensive."

God! It almost took me a half a million to file an annulment papers! Then I think I need to spend half a million again.

"I'm sorry." I apologize to Kai. He smiled, telling me that It's gonna be okay. He kiss my forehead and pull me into a gentle hug.

"It's okay Jen. Ask Jisoo what happened."

You don't deserve this Kai ...

We drove to Jisoo's office. Kai already has an emergency call at the office so I'm the only one to talk to Jisoo. I knocked and entered.

"Jenduek what brings you here?" she asked cheerfully and stood up. She gave me a hug. I was tired when I sit on the sofa.

"I'm gonna ask you about something." I said. Jisoo gave me a glass of orange juice. I drank it first and then spoke.

"Go on Jen. Tell me."

"Why didn't you tell me I was still married to Lisa?" Jisoo laughed so I was pissed. Jisoo removed the glass she was wearing and then looked at me.

"Oh about that? I told you. Did you check your email?" I took a deep breath. I'm running out of patience today. I no longer have the time to back read to read my emails because of is too much. I adjusted my seat and looked at Jisoo seriously.

"What happened?" I ask. Wishing Jisoo had just lost the divorce papers.

"It happened eight years ago, when I went to Lisa's office. I told her that you left and didn't know when you will be back. I handed her the divorce papers to the table and do you know what was done? She threw it in front of me and slammed the table hard. I was nervous because It's my first time seeing a person with so much anger and fury. If you see her, her whole face is almost red and another thing, Lisa kicked the lampshade near her desk. And I still remember what she said. 'I won't sign that goddamn papers.' and I fought your petition in court. If you're rich, she's more richer Jennie. She blocked your petition. I did everything so we could win but I lose. Lisa Manoban holds the power. That woman did not agree to divorce you Jennie."
