Lavender
Xander and I were in my dads office, waiting for him to get back in. I tried my hardest not to talk to Xander because of the awkwardness we had. I knew things with us would be awkward.
But today Xander is getting released from community service. He had all the hours he needed and every community service activity he done, he made sure it got done.
I'm really proud of him actually. He proved to me that he could change even when he said he wasn't going to change for anyone.
I love that he came to his senses and stopped being this delinquent kid that didn't care about anyone but himself. He was an asshole yes, but he did regain his reputation as Alexander Manes.
"Lavender?" I heard him question as I turn to look at him. My eyes traveled to his lips and back to his eyes. I wanted to feel those lips again.
we started looking at each other, staring like no one else is in the world. I broke the contact by clearing my throat. "Yeah? What's up?"
He scratched the back of his head, looking elsewhere also. "We haven't spoke about... what happened in the parking lot 3 days ago." He said and I instantly felt my heart drop. I knew we haven't spoke but I couldn't talk about it.
Cambria told me to that I should go for it with Xander and not string along Sean. I didn't want to leave Sean because of what he said. I was all he had. I met his mother and she's very nice.. to nice for my liking but it was still nice that he had mom like that.
"I know... but-" My sentence was cut off when Dad came back in with some papers in his hands. He sat down, looking at the both of us. It felt like he knew something was up with us, but he just shrugged it off.
"Xander, you had proved yourself that you could change." He said, sliding the paper towards Xander. He looked at the paper in awe but he also had a different look on his face. It seemed as if he was sad that he had to signed it.
"But if you make a mistake with the law, that is not on me. You will be going to jail." He said causing Xander to look at him and nod.
"Yes sir. I know." He nod his head, watching dad as he gave him a pen. "Sign the paper and your reputation as a community service man will be over."
He signed the paper, giving the pen and paper back to dad. I knew dad didn't like Xander but he seemed as if he didn't like that he was signing the paper. It seemed like Dad wanted him to suffer for all the bad things he done in his life.
"Okay." Dad gave a fake smile, looking at Xander. "You're no longer working for community service. I hope you enjoyed yourself." He said the last part with sarcasm.
I rolled my eyes at Dad. "Honestly I did enjoy myself Dean. Lavender is the best mentor for community service." I looked over at Xander and gave a smile as he returned one also. "I thank you for not even giving up on me."
