Epilogue

2 Years later...

Lavender

I got out my car, getting excited that I get to see my family today. It's winter break at college and I'm more than happy that it is. My life as a college student wasn't all peaches and cream.

More like rotten peaches and cream. Just as I was about to close my door, my little cousins, Aunt Jackie, and Uncle Asher coming out of the house to greet me. I smiled, running over to my family and hugging them.

We pulled from the hug and Uncle Asher helped me with my things in the car. We all got back inside to smell food cooking.

Aunt Jackie made food!! Yes I'm definitely about to eat a lot. I went to my old room and started unpacking my things. I looked around my room to see that Aunt Jackie didn't change anything in here.

Smiling I noticed something else on the desk that I got before I left. Walking towards it, a picture of me and my friends still appeared on it. I smile and picked it up. But as I picked it up, I kinda frowned at it also.

It brought back too many memories. Memories that I like to keep as memories.

Putting it back down, I heard a knock on my door. I turned around and saw Zach smiling at the door.

"Hey Cousinnnn!!" He smiled as I smiled, walking towards him to get a hug. We waddled side to side and I pulled away from my cousin.

He gotten a little taller when I saw him, his hair gotten a little longer and his features came out a little too.

"Sooo!!! How's everything since I left?" I questioned as he sighs, sitting down on my bed.

"Horrible." He stated and laid on my bed with me chuckling a little. "My parents came two months ago. They don't like that I'm still with Raven, well was."

I furrowed my eyebrows, "What do you mean was? You two were the power couple."

"Well when you have racist jackass as parents, things don't settle too well." He said and pulled back his hair, closing his eyes. "It's been a whole two months since we split up. I see her in the hallways, leaving from cheer practice and hanging out with some other friends."

He sighs, still has his eyes closed. He really loves Raven as much as she loves him. "I really miss her and everyday I see her, it pains me so much."

I didn't know what he's going through but I do know about the pain he talked about. Sitting down next to him, I planted a hand on his shoulder.

"Zach, you two love each other. I know you guys are going to come back strong." I smiled when I saw him opening his eyes.

"What if we don't?" He looked over at me with a sad look and I was about to talk when my door opened and Aunt Jackie came in.

"The food is ready if you guys are hungry." She smiled at us. We both said okay and got out of my room to the kitchen to eat.

After we ate, we sat in the living room to talk to each other and catch them up since I didn't talk much about my time in college. They told me the things that went on down here while I was gone.

Everything did change for me. My friends and I don't talk as much, I don't see my boyfriend as much, I don't even see my family as much. Being at college kinda sucked when you don't know what goes on at home.

After the night went by, I showered, brushed my teeth and went in my room, closing my door I sat on my bed and sighed, picking up my phone. Going to my messages, my thumb hovered his but I didn't text. Instead I left the messaging app and decided to go onto social media to see what my friends at college where up too.

I noticed that they were home, partying. I chuckled at the people I got to know as friends. My phone lit up with his name on it. Smiling I answered the call.

"Hey babe." I chuckled, hearing a chuckle from him.

"Come to our hangout spot I want to see you." He said and I smiled, putting on my slides and jacket. We end the call and

I left out the house with my keys and got inside of my car. I drove out of the gated home and onto the road.

When I got to our spot, I noticed that he had a blanket, with snacks on the ground. I smiled that my boyfriend really did this for us. I love him so much. I put my car in park, turning the car off. I got out with him meeting me halfway and we kissed with so much passion with each other.

I pulled away and gave another peck on his lips. "Hi."

"Hey!" He picked me up and swung me around with me squealing of happiness. We didn't often see each other and I'm glad that were seeing each other.

We didn't know if the whole distance thing would've worked but it actually did. I'm glad that it did.We laid on the ground, looking at the sky that didn't have too many stars to look at.

I felt his hands interlock with mine and I smiled, looking over at him. Then he flipped over so he could be on top of me.

He pecked my lips as I giggled. "I can't believe we're seeing each other. I missed you soo much." He said and I awwed, smiling at him.

"I missed you. I wish we could see each other."

He smiled, "What if I told you that I'm going to transfer?"

I gasped, sitting up but he fell off of me in the process. I laughed, helping him up. "Babe!! That's good news."

I hugged him and got so excited that we were about to go to the same college. After the excitement, we laid back down and he kissed me on the forehead.

"I'm glad we're going to be together Hakeem." I looked over at him as he chuckled, pecking my lips.

Hakeem and I have been together for a year now. Things with Xander and I didn't last long. We were together throughout our freshman year in college.

But as they say, things change and people change. Distance didn't help, we argued almost all the time, whenever we came home and we would see each other, we didn't have a connection.

I still keep in touch with Mrs. Manes and Layla but Xander and I, things went south. I always had a crush on Hakeem and whenever we came home, we had a connection, we didn't argue that much and we always made sure that we checked on each other.

In the end, I finally got my Crush. Hakeem Davis. Though, Xander still lives in my heart I won't forget him. I know he won't forget his Care bear either. We were afraid that what happened now was going to happen when we left for college and it did.

The two of us were different.

Or maybe it was wrong timing for us to be together.
