Chapter 3 • Tragedy

"Julius is dead?!" Fuegoleon says as he reads from a newspaper, word getting around quickly as he scans the headline.....

Tragedy! Wizard King found dead in the streets of the capital, details unknown.... was this an assination ? Suicide? Does this have anything to do with what's happening with Asta?

This quickly goes around the kingdom, many are shocked at the sudden death of Julius, a man who seemed invincible in the publics eye, even with the news of him being a child, the man of steel almost, a man who defended the king and was loved by the people... was dead

Everyone immediately starts pointing fingers, the most of them going to Asta, while others had their own suspicions....

Among the top suspects, Asta, Yami and Nacht were counted among them, Asta being for obvious reasons, Yami was a suspect among the captains due to what happened with Julius with the news about Asta being wanted and Nacht, the Vice Captain of the Black Bulls who hasn't been heard of ever since the order was issued, along with him being a almost second father figure to Asta after Yami was taken away in the battle with Spade, both having viable reasons for wanting this, along with Yami being freed the night before.....

A council of men sits in a giant courtroom, the captains being there in attendance for this, Damnito at the head of it

"With the death of our Wizard King, we are in a very dangerous spot as of right now.... not only do we have no king to lead us, the public is in panic, and we're missing 3 of our strongest soldiers!" Damnito says as Charlotte rises up from her seat

"Sir, as a close friend of Yami, i would like to say that Yami is not the one who killed Julius, Yami loved Julius like a father, as for the other two i cannot speak for" Charlotte say as she sits back down, other captains nodding in unison

"The one we should be worried about is Nacht, not only is he a devil host, but he was closely associated with Asta, who knows what kind of bond or plans they have" Nozel says as he rises up, attracting the attention of Fuegoleon

"Nozel, you should ask your little sister as well, i believe they had a very "close" relationship according the Marx" Fuegoleon says as Nozel is brimming with anger

"I hope she doesnt feel anything towards that piece of shit" Nozel says as he sits back down in his chair

"Now, we need a new king, or at least a temporary king, we will go about it by vote by both captains and the council" Damnito says as everyone nods in agreement, sitting back as everyone begins the long process

After about 30 minutes of collecting and counting votes, Nozel and Fuegoleon are both tied for the seat of King.....

"Nozel with 99, Fuegoelon with 99 and one more vote left!" Damnito say as he pulls it out, reading it out loud as nobody disagrees over the decision....

Hours later...

Yami wakes up on the couch of the Black Bulls base, all of the bulls around him as he opens his eyes, looking at them with a smile, before realizing Asta still isn't there with him

"Captain Yami! What happened? We found you unconscious at the door" Magna says as Yami sits up, looking around as everyone sits and waits for a answer, Him sighing
