Chapter 10 • Happiness

this is the writer's fault, I spent an hour or 2 writing this only to realize later I had put "1 year later" in chapter 9, I am sorry I forgot, and this kind of changed up the story, but maybe this is a chance to make this better then I would have thought, sincerely mimosasbf.

Asta awakens in bed, his clothes being freshly stitched up, his blade being cleaned, his grimoire on the nightstand next to him, his rough ashy hair is messed up as he moves it out of his way, getting up

Asta gets up and walks to the balcony, looking at the beautiful morning sky as birds chirp in the distance, children play in the distance, and people work stands and make food outside, compared to the clover kingdom, it seemed like heaven over here 

"Asta... are you awake? Breakfast is ready." Lolopechka says outside of the room as Asta walks to the door, opens it, and sees the queen dressed in normal attire, smiling at Asta as Asta feels a wave of emotion when he sees her, mostly safeness and sanctuary

"Morning Queen," Asta says as he realizes he only has shorts on, Lolopechka blushing at the sight of a half-naked Asta as she quickly looks away and covers her eyes, but an eye can be seen through a small opening in her hands

"Oh uh," Asta says with a slight blush of his own as he quickly puts back on his clothes, leaving his blade and grimoire in the room as he walks out of the room with the Queen, smiling as they walk down the stairs and into a giant room, with food on the table, the other spirt guardians in the room doing their own thing

"Morning everyone," Asta says as the guardians look at him, hesitant at first as Gaja walks forward

"Morning Asta, good to see you." He says as Asta smiles, shaking his hand as he takes a seat at the table, getting ready to eat

"Cmon guys, we need to go out on morning patrol, plus let's leave the queen be," Gaja says as all of them nod, leaving the two together as they sit down and begin to eat

"This food... its amazing," Asta says as a smile comes across his face, digging into the eggs, bacon, sausage, and everything else you can imagine there as Lolo smiles and even laughs a little, seeing Asta devour everything in sight 

"You must've been hungry huh?" She says with Asta nods, taking a huge bite into some eggs as he cleans his mouth

"I was being hunted, after a while, I just wanted to back down and leave, but I felt a part of me want to go out and find the captains, but something happened and I ended up here, I was in a face-off with my former friends and enemies, but a big flash of darkness appeared, and before I knew it, I was here with you all," Asta says as Lolo looks at him

"A flash of darkness huh?" She thinks to herself as she begins to speak to him, sympathy in her voice 

"Well, we're here to offer you a place to stay Asta, as it becomes apparent they only want violence with you, for something that another entity had compelled you to do, coupled along with actually wanting to take revenge against something they did to you..." Lolo says as Asta looks at her

"What about other kingdoms... what do they think of this?" Asta asks her as she recounts what has happened 

"In my kingdom, most people don't hold a grudge for you, you saved this kingdom, you freed me, I and my kingdom are here to help you, although some of the guardians are tense due to what happened with other devils,  I formally addressed my kingdom about the events that were happening and we're here to help." She says as she goes on

"The Diamond kingdom has been spilled, lots of people share the same opinion we have, they wanted to go in to help you and riots would occur because of that... Emperor Mars is on your side, but would rather stay out of another conflict." She says as she goes onto the final kingdom
