NATASHA :

It had been three months already and the days couldn't possibly go any faster than they were going, she was losing her life essence and she knew she needed to go complete the process before anything could go wrong.

She had remembered how her mate suggested marking her some time ago in hopes that he could make her better, she had refused not because she didn't want to bear his mark but because by accepting his mark she would be attaching her life force to him which meant that both she and the child would be depending on his own life force till the child would have been born.

That would have killed him faster than anything ever imagined, and secondly she had refused because she had absolute uncertainty about her own life hence she wanted him to live a free man with no bonds with her, probably in the future he would be as happy as she had seen in her vision.

She realized that ever since she had become so weak and unable to do much, he had been unable to maintain any form of happiness and he had lost whatever spark he once had and all he did was express so much heartbreak she had pitied him.

Currently he had just concluded helping her change into a black Jean and black sweater before he slid her feet into a black converse then carried her to the cars where the warriors all stood and watched them in pity.

She had called her family demanding that everyone assembled at the palace living room, she knew that they always freaked out whenever she summoned them like that and if the situation was any different she wouldn't have bothered doing it.

Soon enough the car had taken off towards the airport, while she laid her head on Eros shoulder who had instantly wrapped his arms around her in comfort.  Sadly she didn't know how long she had anymore seeing as she was now so weak that walking had become a bigger hassle than normal.

Now there were so many things she wished she could have done earlier in her life like leaving and traveling the world, finding her mate, spending more time with her family and friends, exploring a little career in singing in the old days,  the last thought had her laughing a little, what would she look like been an artist who got followed about, she saw how annoyed it always got her brothers and friends whenever they were followed about by the human paparazzi.

   "What's so funny Babe"
Eros had asked, smiling the brightest she had seen in the longest time.

"I was just thinking about the things I could have done but never got to do"
She had said, looking up at a now confused looking Eros.

"What do you mean 'But Never got to do' "
He had asked, shifting a little so he could see her properly.

Sadly Natasha was still yet to tell him of the real reason behind her 'illness', she couldn't bring herself to tell him that she was dying, so she smiled sadly at him before slowly reaching up and pulling him down to her and placing her lips on hes.

"You will never leave me again Natasha, I don't know what I'll do without you, so promise me that you won't ever leave me"

Even the highest of men, immortal or not, everyone feared pain and loss equally.
It's not that he wouldn't live without her, it was the fact that he doubted that he would ever be happy without her but she had seen better days ahead of him, in those days she hadn't seen who had him feeling so happy but he was happy regardless and for that she was beyond thankful.

"There will be better days ahead my King"
She had replied before letting him carry her over to the jet.

She had smiled because this was the very jet that had transported her to Los Angeles over four months ago, back then she had sworn never to return to this place ever again but who was she kidding, the tables had now been turned and she was the one begging that somehow a miracle would happen that would save her life and that of the child so she could return and spend forever with her people.

Now that she was thinking about it she realized how truly messed up the situation was, the child was only her niece but here she was sharing her life force with her, she had always known that her duties as oracle was going to be the reason she lost her life eventually but she just never thought it would be like this.

Her beast Almira had kept her alive and slightly strong enough for the process to be completed but she too was loosing her strength, so many times Almira had wished they bonded with their King but even she knew of the consequences of a bond like that so she had withdrawn, offering strength the best she could but having no form of communication with Her human form,  a conversation between them was prone to suck more strength away from them so it was best they just stayed silent,  She was the beast and beast was the female, they were two in one and there was no need for any talks between them.

She didn't know how much time had passed but soon she felt Eros lifting her and carrying her till she was placed on a car that had the familiar scent of Valley, her brother whose cars were more precious than anything else.
She had smiled a little but had no strength to open her eyes, she knew the familiar scent of her kingdom anywhere and only when she was in the presence of her family would she require the strength she needed to speak.

She had sat in Eros laps since the beginning of the car ride while he continued to play with her hair, she could feel his gaze on her but she had refused to look up at him, the guilt was eating her alive, how would he feel when he heard all that she had to say?,  Would he still look at her with so much love and adoration then? Would he still want to be with her when he finds out that all along she had kept everything away from him?

   "We are here Princess"
He had whispered, while she smiled and opened her eyes to look at him one more time, knowing that the next few hours were not going to be exactly the best.

"Are you happy to be home?"
He had asked her again.

The answer was no because this place was now the place she was born and raised, her home was where ever he was but she had no right to say that anymore so she smiled and muttered a quiet Yes.
