As Len led me through the forest path, I had time to make little landmarks with an old lipstick I no longer used. This one rock had a plant growing right through it, so I knew we were halfway there. The walk always felt so long, but the way the air hit felt so crisp.

Len and I walked in a semi-comfortable silence, but I could tell he still wanted to apologize. Thankfully, our awkward moment before we took off felt brushed past. Could you imagine how horribly that conversation would have gone? Considering I wanted to grab his face and tell him to shut up... considering I actually thought about kissing him. I refused to do so though. He's not mine to really touch like that.

We continued walking, heading out to the hideout. We made it through the backdoor like last time. Len pointed me in the direction of the living room, telling me he'd pick up some drinks for the two of us. I nodded and made my way over.

When I walked through the doorway, Kamui was arguing with Rin about her short shorts. I wanted to step in, but it seemed like Rin had the situation handled well.

"Oh what?! You wanna go?! Let's go! You know I don't give a crap!" Rin shouted, throwing her fists up.

Kamui was pinching the bridge of his nose, "For the last time Rin, I just wanted you to change so Leon doesn't try and grab your thighs again.

"It's kinda hot and I won't be changing; you're not me. Besides, Leon knows better than to so much as breathe in my direction. If he looks at me, I'm allowed to chop him in the neck." she explained. Leon commented from the back about it being true before leaning in to attempt to kiss Defoko. With her fist balled, she uppercut him to where he bit his tongue.

Miss Kasane was yelling at Piko for being in her work space bubble. Man, this surely is a ragtag group, hmm? Momo was running around anxiously with a first aid kit, attempting to try calm everyone down. This green-haired girl I'd only met a few days before-Gumi-was pulling on Miku's hair, and Miki was forcefully shoving some kinda spoonful of food down Ia's throat. In the corner, Sakane was drunk and asking for a fight with Neru. Neru was on her phone and Sakane kept taking it away, quoting some rather nasty things to tweet about this other girl.

Amidst the hysteria and chaos, the unmistakable ring of a gunshot echoed in the room till all was deathly silent.

All bickering stopped. Everything was silent except for my ears ringing.

"Why are you all behaving like this?" Len bellowed, holstering his weapon, "We have a guest."

He flailed his arms in front of me, but I was more curious about the bullet hole in the ceiling. I looked up to see a hole in the beige, water destroyed ceiling. It didn't look like this was the first time he'd silenced them like this. But then again, I could only imagine how many knife marks, bullet holes, etcetera peppered the poor dilapidated building. How many more before the entire ceiling crumbled? Whilst stuck in my thoughts, Len handed me my drink and with the other, grabbed hold of my left wrist with his right hand and held it skyward, "[_____]'s here!"

The group smiled and talked excitedly. My ears and cheeks burned. I was unsure if I could ever get comfortable with such a situation... they all looked so happy that I was there; it felt wonderful albeit strange.

Admist the waves of clamor, I leaned over to Len and mentioned I felt a little out of place still. Walking into a room and having all eyes on you felt a little overwhelming and I had to voice my unease. Besides, the attention probably didn't allow Neru any peace. She'd mostly avoided me over the few weeks since the mall incident. In my thoughts, I didn't see Neru stand from her place. Once I did, it was too late. I turned just in time to get slapped across my face.
