"how've you been Ren?" Kaydn asks, the two taking seats at the bar, a few people sitting at chairs dotted around the room.

"that nickname..god" Lauren laughs, "but yeah, i've been great actually"

"what? its a cute nickname!" Kaydn says, sipping out of his cup on the counter.

"no, no its not, im just glad no one else calls me it, I seriously would pass away" Lauren says, shaking her head.

"see you in hell then" He says, chuckling at himself, "I'm joking...anyway, how's the toxic bitch?"

Lauren frowns at him in confusion, tilting her head slightly to the side.

"Quinn, you know...did you not know that was my name for her?" he says, a frown playing on his eyebrows, "god I did not like her"

"wha- what did she ever do to you?" Lauren laughs, picking up her drink.

"no way..you never knew?" Kaydn says, "do you not remember how toxic she used to be?"

"okay, examples?"

"gladly" Kaydn says, readjusting his seat, "about a year ago, we were at yours and she came, you went to shower and she tried something on me?"

"in her defence, she was drunk"

"nu-uh, like my mum always told me, drunk words are sober thoughts!"

Lauren pauses for a second, thinking about that night, "okay, next?"

"hm, lets think...oh I remember, 2 years ago at that Christmas party, when she told everyone that you used to have an eating disorder just because you had gained weight!"

Laurens smile slightly fades, remembering that night and how they had got in the biggest argument the pair had ever been through.

"would you like me to continue?" Kaydn says, leaning back in his seat.

"no no its okay...and she's great thank you" Lauren says, looking at the boy in the eye, a small grin on his face, "anyway, how's things at home?"

for the next hour or two, they both talk about things they hadn't got to talk about in a while, life back in England, past memories and their lives nowadays.

"so, how's Jess?" Lauren says, leaning back into her chair, raising her eyebrows at Kaydn and taking a sip of her drink.

"hm, you know, I don't actually know"

"really?" Lauren asks, "how do you not know about the girl you cheated on me with"

"like I told you" Kaydn says, "it was a one time thing"

They both look at each other for a while, an urge to both say something about to spill out of either of them.

"look Ren I-" Kaydn is interrupted by Quinn running through the door, a drop of sweat on the top of her head.

"YOUVE BEEN WITH HIM?!" she shouts, catching the attention of some other people, "UGH it dosnt matter, you've got to come with me RIGHT NOW, its Damiano! He like...PASSED OUT!"

"wait what? is he okay?" Lauren asks, grabbing her purse of the side counter.

"NO HES NOT OKAY YOU TWAT! HE WASNT BREATHING"

"okay okay im coming!" Lauren shouts back, chasing after her, looking back at Kaydn one last time as she pushes open the doors, "we'll do this again yeah?"
