7. You're bleeding.

"Hey,!" Danny's furious voice makes me whince. My splitting headache is killing me and her yelling is not making it any better.
I roll over to the other side of the bed Clutching my head tightly."why are you yelling?!"

"Because you are being stubborn. Get up."

"And do what?"

"Something constructive."

"Stop being jealous and get to class." I say pulling the duvet over my head.

"I thought you were looking for a job or something." She says pulling the duvet out of the bed.

"Okay fine. Amma go to the bathroom, happy now." I say slinging my legs to the side of the bed. "My head is freaking killing me." I groan.

"That's what you get for drinking like a sailor." She says handing me a glass of water and a pill. "Have this." And she leaves.

I drag myself lazily to the bathroom after stripping myself naked.

I'm in a restaurant looking for a job, I just walked in and I don't know where to start looking, the building is very huge and I stand at the door looking at a huge SATIVA written in bold and capital letters at the entrance.

"You looking for something or someone?" Someone from behind startles me and I inhale sharply. "Sorry if I startled you."

"Yeah you did. Apology accepted." I say turning to face him, he is smiling and I'm really tempted to ask why but I don't.

He must be working here since he is wearing black trousers and a white shirt which I've seen a couple of people in there wearing those. He looks like a gentleman with his dimples everytime he says a word

"That was a joke right?" He asks with an amused tone and that gets my attention back to what he was saying.

"Yeah it definitely was."

"Leon." He introduces himself stretching his hand for a handshake and I gladly shake it.

"Gabby. Its nice meeting you.

"Why does such a beautiful lady look lost. Can I be of help?"

"You work here. Right." I ask the obvious.

"Yeah."

"Then certainly you can be of help. I need to see that manager, where can I find him or her?"

"Come with me," he says leading the way and I follow like a lost puppy.

He leads me to a beautiful office where I meet the manager of the hotel, a beautiful lady welcomes me with a radiant smile, she is wearing pink lip gloss with elegant official trouser and blazer. Her shoes are cute with golden four inch heels.

"Come in." She says gesturing to the seat opposite hers on the other side of the table. "Please have a seat."

"Thank you." I lower myself on the seat.

"I hope you don't mind telling me who you are and what brings you here."

"Of course I don't." I say eyeing her name written on the beautifully curved board on her table." I'm Gabriela Martinez, I was hoping to find a job in your restaurant."

"What kind of a job miss Martinez?" She asks "do you have any papers? Which part do you specialize in?"

"I don't have any. You see, I never finished my college studies, I stopped at second year. I was hoping to work as a janitor."

"I'll check and I'll give you a call once I find a job for you." She says finally receiving the call, her phone has been buzzing nonstop and I was very much tempted to tell her to shut the gadget off but I decided against it. I gotta learn to limit my words if I want to land my ass a job.

"Yes....please give me five minutes I'll get back to you......okay" she hangs up turning to me. "Come to think of it." She says more to herself. "I need you to come for an interview, may be you will be able have a much better position."

That makes me happy."really?!"

She is a good person. I like her already." Yeah. Just wait for my call." She says standing and picking her purse.

"Thank you so much Mrs Diaz." I appreciate following suit and standing.
"Don't thank me yet." She says heading to the door." I'm on my way out. Let's walk together." She says holding the door for me.

I'm on my way to the apartment since it is five blocks away. And I choose to walk I get the phone out of my pouch to give Danny a call and I notice the battery is dead which means I must get to the house to connect the charger.

I keep walking and I notice someone following me but I don't raise any suspicion since I need to be smart. The guy has been following me since I got out of sativa restaurant and I have tried to ignore him but he has really tried to keep up with my pace.

I'm beginning to panic, my feet are growing colder with every passing second. The guy is really determined but it seems he has not noticed that I have seen him. I really want to ask for help but my phone is dead and I can't text anyone. It seems I'm on my own.
Moments later a black jeep comes speeding down the road and I totally freeze to the core. I start speeding My pace but of course I can't outrun the jeep.

"God help me." I say in a very low tone. I don't go to church but I believe in the supernatural power.

Damian can't find me this early, I expected him to show up, there is no way he would just seat around and let me leave like that. I just never thought it wound be this soon.

I can't go back to that miserable life. I need to save myself at all cost.
The jeep is a couple of meters away from me and I'm ready for the worst. I start running but the jeep comes speeding.

Suddenly a Red rolls royce stops slightly in front of me and Alec pops his head out of the passenger window. "Gabby, run." He yells at the top of his lungs and that gives me the energy I needed. My legs are burning but I can't give in, not now when I have help I can't let my self down.

The more I run, the more whoever is driving the jeep speeds up. "You can do this." He yells again and I stretch my hand towards Alec when I get closer and he pulls me into the car and I land on the back seat beside him.

Okay I don't know how he did it but the last time I checked, he was on the passenger seat, but it doesn't matter. All that matters is that I'm safely in the car.

"Step on it Ciara, they are coming." He says glancing at the jeep tailing us. "You okay?" He asks pulling my terrified self to him and I gladly lay on his chest with his hand around my shoulders.
"Yeah," I briefly say closing my eyes tightly when they start shooting and the back window crushes to tinny pieces.

"Ciara, watch out." He yells and ciara bends her head in time as the bullet misses and hits the front mirror creating a hole."Come on ciara, the assholes are catching up with us. Step on the gas for crying out loud."

"I'm trying and you yelling is not making the situation any better." She fires back suddenly turning at a sharp corner and she turns again in another similar corner losing the goons.

"We lost them." Alec says when he can't see them any more. He turn to look at me and his eyes grows wide." Gabby you are bleeding."
