“Gabby?” Danny calls from downstairs and i hear footsteps uproaching my bedroom door.“ can i come in?” she asks once shes at the door.
“yeah.”
I'm lying on my stomach scrolling through instagram.
She leans in to plant a swift kiss on my cheek“ you okay?” she asks her eyes laced with worry.
“yeah. I'm okay. Why are you asking?”
“Jasmine came looking for you yesterday.”
She had gone to visit Kassie, i had even forgotten that she wasn't around.
“no I'm okay..” i say. “it was nothing.”
“Alec said you looked pretty upset.” i roll my eyes for the upteenth time today. “He's worried Gabby.”
“Im fine, you guys dont need to be worried about me. I can take care of myself.”
I've always been alone and them asking and worrying all the time makes me feel like they are worrying for no reason. Im not used to telling whats going on with me.
“we know, but we care and get worried.”
“ okay incase it feels overwhelming, I'll let you guys help. For now i got this.”
“okay.” she stands up. “get ready we're going for shopping.”
I lazily roll to my back. “do i really have to go?”
“you do. Plus i've never gone out with you. So we're going for coffee and then shopping later.”
“i have to go to work in 4 hours.”
“incase we get late, I'll drop you off at the restaurant.” she opens the door. “just stop whining and get ready.” She peeps through the door after stepping out “ and don't wear trousers, atleast show some skin today.” she winks lazily “ the black dress i got you the other day matches your skintone.”
“noo I'm not wearing that.” i yell swinging my legs to the side of the bed.
“ its not open for discussion.” she yells and i hear footsteps receeding
How did I land myself such a sturbbon yet caring sister.
Honestly if i stayed here another second i was going to lose it with all the flashbacks and memories of the nightmares flashing in my head all over again.

Its 7 pm and we are just stepping out of the door. She made me wear redbottoms heels to go with the dress and made my hair up in a huge bun, even made me wear make up.
“Are we going to a fashion show or something?” I keep asking her why we had to dress up for a coffee date and shopping.
She's wearing a jungle green dress that is running to her ankle and a slit that runs to her midthigh. She looks soo beautiful with her massive waves flowing on one shoulder.
We get into her car and she types away in her phone before starting the car and driving into the night.
“okay, just spill it sis.” i try pursuading her since its clear that she's hiding something.
“what?” she says nervously “what makes you think I'm hiding something.”
“you're avoiding my eyes..its exactly what you do when not being honest.”

We are at kassie's, its the only place we could have a party since the rest of us live with our parents and none of them would allow a party in their houses.
