8. most wanted.

"Gabby, you are bleeding!" And that is when I notice blood oozing from my right side of the stomach.

"oooh shit." Ciara gasps when she sees the blood and I'm surprised that I'm not feeling anything, it is just numb and am beginning to panic.

“hey,” Alec raises my face with his hand so that I can look at him in the eyes. his other hand is applying pressure on the wound and the other one is on my chin. “look at me, everything will be alright.”

“lets get you to the hospital.” Ciara says stepping on the gas even more.

The blood is still oozing despite Alex pressing on it. I'm trying my best to keep my eyes open but black dots are beginning to cloud my vision. “are we there yet?” I ask desperately hopping that we are almost there. I can't afford to close my eyes, I'm scared of dieing, I still want to spend some time with my sister.

“yeah. we are almost there.” Alex assures me. “please hold on.”

“I don't think I can do this.” I say and it comes
as a whisper, my vision is becoming blurry and I finally give in.

“Gabby?” Alec calls but I can't open my eyes, his voice is becoming distant with seconds. “Gabby?!” his voice sounds pannicy and it somehow cracks.

wait did his voice just crack? that makes me feel a little bit privileged despite my current situation.
I know I can be weird sometimes.

“we are here.” Ciara yells putting the car on a stop.

“please hold on, Gabby” Alec says in a worried tone.

Alec's pov

she is turning pale by the second and I can't help but worry, I know we have not been in good of a relationship but I'm really scared, I didn't see this coming.

I open the door and I carry her bridal style to the Emergency room.
Her heartbeat is distant and she looks very still. I don't know what munchkin would do if she lost her just found sister, she is her only family as far as I know and it's really going to break her.

“nurse help here.” Ciara calls and she is quick to roll an empty bed to our direction.

“what happened miss, sir.” she asks trying to monitor Gabby's pupils.
“what do you mean what happened?!” I fire back when she wastes time. “stop asking silly questions and go get my dad. if anything happens to her, consider your ass fired.”

“I'm sorry sir, your dad is not in today.” she says with a scared face.
“so a patient should die because dad is not here?” that is Ciara “do we not have other doctors here? freaking get her someone and stop looking confused like a fucking intern.

“I'll get doctor Alvares, excuse me.”

“make it quick.” I yell and I turn only to notice everybody looking at us. “what, you have nothing to do? show is over”

Ciara gets her phone from her pocket and she calls munchkin. and she puts it on speaker.

hey, something is not right.
danny
why do you say that?
Ciara.
I had a twin pain earlier and she is sending me to voicemail.
Danny
Danny, gabby has been shot. we are at the hospital as we speak.
Ciara.

I watch as Gabby is rolled to the operating room with desperate eyes that she gets out of there in one piece.

what?!
Danny.

and she hungs up.
“hey, Alex. Don't you think its not a good idea to have her here?” Ciara asks and I turn to face her.

“why?”

“Dad said some goons came to the hospital looking for her and that is why they went home looking for him. they know that they shot her don't you think that here will be the first place to cross there minds?” she says glancing at her phone that chimes but she ignores it. “think about it. I'll get this.” she refers to the phone call.

I mean, she just talked sense. we need to transfer her to a different hospital. it won't be long before they show up here massucurering anybody on there way. they just showed us what they are capable of at the streets.

“Alec?” Danny calls from behind me and I swiftly turn. she doesn't waste a time. she runs and hugs me.

“she is going to be fine. I promise.” I whisper into her ear.

“what happened?” Jake asks and I turn my attention to him.

“I don't know what is happening in her life, man.” I say trying to wrap it all around my head.

“why? what makes you say that?” Danny asks.

“just last night we had to move to grandma's because some people are looking for dad since he attended to her last time. so Ciara and I decided to look for her today after we figured out that her life is in danger. we tried calling her but she sent us to voice mail. we chose to come to your apartment to find you and her but on our way there we saw her running away from a guy who was really determined to abduct her.” I pause and glance at zac and kassie who just walked in. “when we called her to get in the car, they started shooting.” I practically feel guilty for not noticing earlier.“it took us a maximum of thirty minutes before we noticed that she has been shot. she lost a lot of blood.”

“hey guys.” that is kassie.she lowers herself on the waiting bench, she looks really tired she is now eight months  pregnant and she can't wait to have the baby.

“guys, we need to transfer her asap.” that is Ciara and she sounds worried.

“what? why?” kassie looks confused.

“Taylor just confirmed that the guys hunting Gabby are the most dangerous and most wanted criminals in USA.”

“wait, can we press pause for a second?” Danny is really loosing it.

“who is Taylor? and how does he know those criminals?”

“Taylor is a friend of mine and I sent him a picture of two of the guys and he confirmed that they are wanted.” Ciara is running out of patience.

“you took a picture of them?!” kassie looks surprised.

“no, someone else did. can we fucking move, like right now?”

“she is still in the operating room.” I say in a low tone. “how are we supposed to do that.”

“hey, hey baby, you okay?” Jake is observing how Danny is behaving and she is not taking the news quite lightly.

“could it be, that she is a part of the gang? and they are afraid she might expose their secrets?” her voice is coming as a whisper and Jake pulls her in for a hug.

“she can't be a part of the gang.” Jake assures her. “relax don't worry.”
“how sure are you. you've just known her for what three weeks.”

“if she was among them, then she would be well trained, she couldn't have been shot easily like that let alone being found”

“could she be a victim?” that is Ciara “she had an accident the first time we met her. May be she was running away from something.”

“there is only one way to find out.” zac says out of nowhere. “the doctor just said that she has been transfered to another room the operation was successfull.”

“she just got out of the operating room, she is not in a position to talk. may be we should focus on getting her somewhere safe.”

“Alec is right.” Jake says rubbing Danny's back comfortingly.
