Aru
Aiden crumpled to the floor, limp. She stared at his still body in shock, before falling to her knees and sobbing into his shoulder.
She couldn't believe it.
He was dying, and there was nothing she could do. She knew she wouldn't be able to bring herself to accept what was happening, so she just let her emotions take over her, and that resulted in continuous crying.
A light hum gradually filled the room, and she looked up, wiping her tears away even though more came. Her dad was crouched near Aiden's body and both his eyes were bright blue, instead of one blue and one brown.
A white light was being emitted from his hands and was wrapped around Aiden. It didn't look evil, however. Its light was comforting, and it wasn't even touching Aru. The light flowed through his skin, but The Sleeper looked weaker with every passing second.
As Aiden took in a shuddering breath, the light faded, and she looked into her dad's eyes.
"Thank you," she whispered. He smiled weakly and fell down due to exhaustion, but Aru's attention was brought back to Aiden as he pushed himself back to his feet.
Totally ignoring the fact there were people around them, she wrapped her arms around him and kissed him. To her total surprise, he didn't pull away, but placed his arms around her waist, and pulled her closer.
She smiled, leaning into him, feeling purely safe. For a long moment there, she really thought he was gone. Loud giggling interrupted their romantic exchange, and they broke apart, blushing. The Potatoes were practically in stitches, cackling their butts off. Urvashi & Hanuman joined in, clearly enjoying it.
Arundhati Shah didn't lose Aiden, but...but she lost someone else. Her eyes flitted to her father.
She gently crouched next to her dad's body and bit her lip. The happiness that had lit her face only moments before disappeared, and she became self-conscious of the tears that streaked her face.
The room fell silent.
She felt Aiden drop-down next to her and place his hand in hers. Leaning into his shoulder, she breathed in deeply.

She stiffened.
Would she be able to do it?
Her friends pulled her in hugs. Even Rudy.
She got this. If they thought she could do it, she could do it.
Aru Shah walked up on the podium, smoothing out her black dress. Looking at the crowd of people that came to her dad's funeral, she immediately searched for her mom.
When Kritihka had found out what happened, she had just walked away to her room, and when Aru came to comfort her, she couldn't.
She had just cried along with her mother.
Her mom locked eyes with her and nodded. She breathed in and out, suggesting that Aru should do the same. (A.N this is an otherworld funeral)
"When...When I was younger I wondered why my dad left me and my mom. But he didn't. He was trapped.
When I lit the lamp, so so so many things happened. I believed that everything coming out of my father would hurt me, and he did try to. But what he was doing wasn't him.
I wish I had seen the dark force controlling him earlier, and maybe...maybe I could have helped him come out of it.
I didn't get the chance to help him, but I'm telling you all my story, so you can help the people you love. Though they may be doing something evil, their own emotions might be controlling them."
The crowd looked at her wonderingly.
"Tha...that's all...I guess," she ran off stage, brushing back her tears. Backstage was full of commotion, but she easily found her friends, and they gave her brief embraces.
A gentle tap of high heels and a familiar scent enfolded a warm aura to Aru's mind. She whirled around to see her mom and dove in for a hug.
No matter what, she wasn't alone.
In her journey now, and forever.

Wow, you know, I find this sorta funny and sad.
In the first book, in the end, we got introduced to Brynne and a sorta cliffhanger.
In the second book, in the end, we got a mini intro of the twins.
In the third book, in the end, we got Kara.
In the fourth book, in the end, we got this major cliffhanger that almost killed me.
In the fifth book, however, it's really gonna end. It seems so weird, but let's keep the fandom going strong! Thank you to everyone who has read this story to this point!!!!!!
Also, me and my cousin are starting an aru shah thing that will come out in a few days to a week! Please stay tuned for that!
