*He has no idea what he's doing!* I thought as I ran to his chamber
The first thing the man did was order some men to clean, then gave himself a brake for a nap
*Damn it, how am I supposed to work under these conditions*
I run up to the giant double doors just as an explosion sends me and said doors flying
I hit the ground with a thud and slowly stand up to see the king trying to fend off an assassin
*of course they got one in* I thought exasperated *and of course the first thing he does is fling a red potion(or explosive) at him*
I run up and knock the king away to avoid several arrows
"How dare you lay a hand on me!" he yelled as he got up
"Do you honestly - you know what? not worth it" I turn around as the assassin runs towards me
I pull out my sword and knock his thrusts away
*quick movements, he thinks I'm a pawn, meaning that he's not expecting...*
I knock his sword aside, spin around him, and stabbed him through the chest. he fell to the ground, dead
"Sire, we should be going, they'll he beginning there main attack soon" I said sheathing my sword
"Your right, I'll need to call the men in" he replied
"Why call them in?" I questioned
"To protect me of course" he smirked
"And how many would you need?"
"All of them, except the archers, they'll keep them away for my escape"
"But the people-"
"They don't matter, they can be a distraction for my escape"
I didn't speak as I unsheathed my sword
"What are you doing?" he asked watching
My answer was a sword through his gut.
"Wha-what?" he exclaimed as he coughed blood
"I relieve you of your service, sire" I said as he hit the floor
*Great, now we can plan a real defense* I thought as I walked out
