Mike's POV
Man the kid looked really troubled, and the night had just begun. I had a feeling that being here wasn't the only thing bothering him.
Jeremy and I put our masks on when Toy Bonnie came in. We sat still as he stared at us. It felt like he had been watching us for at least twenty minutes, then he crawled back out through the vent he came in.
I sighed taking off my mask and glancing at Jeremy. He was trembling with a terrified expression on his face. "Hey Jeremy, relax. We'll be fine, it's 4:00, only two hours to go." I gave him a pat on the back and it seemed to comfort him... somewhat. Sitting back in my chair, kicking my feet up onto the desk I asked, "Why'd you even get a job here out of all places?"
"O-Oh well, I n-need the m-money." Jeremy paused like he was mentally saying another reason.
"Ok then."
Jeremy flashed the flashlight down the long hallway. Toy Chica was standing there with her stupid cupcake. He flashed the light multiple times at her. I scowled, "I really hate the new model of Chica, rather deal with the old one."
"Yeah, I-I remember her." Jeremy's small smile quickly turned sad, "I went t-the old Freddy Fazbears P-Pizzeria a few times when I was l-little... t-till it happened."
I frowned, he knew about that? "So you saw the bite of '87?" I wasn't in the mood to bring the subject up but we had started talking about it. If I changed the subject quickly he might suspect something. "Poor kid..."
"Y-Yeah." He looked away.
It got really quiet.
Jeremy's POV
Lost in thought I stared at the ground, so many thoughts going through my head.
"Jeremy! Flashlight!" I jumped from my chair to grab it. Just as I had picked it up the flashlight slipped from my hand and rolled down the hallway. I knew there was an animatronic hidden in the shadows. We heard a crunch then a shatter. There goes the flashlight. Panic consumed Me and I froze. What now? Without our light we can't keep them away.
"Shit!" Mike pushed me under the desk and sat with me. Tears were running down my face.
"W-What a-a-are we going t-to d-do?" I whispered as quiet as I possibly could.
Mike hugged me while I silently cried. "I don't know..." Somehow he was very calm. I was a complete wreck. I opened my eyes when I heard metallic footsteps walking away. Slowly Mike peeked above the desk. "All clear." We got out from under the desk.
I looked at the clock and growled, "How is i-it o-only 4:30? I c-could have sworn w-we were u-under there for a g-good hour!"
"Time seems to stretch on during the second night," He looked at me his eyes grew wide with concern, "What happened to the side of your face?"
I froze once again. I had been sitting with the bruised side of my face out of Mike's sight. His facial expression turned into worry.
I decided to go with the 'I'm an idiot' option. I pretended to think for a second and left out a small laugh acting embarrassed, "I-I kinda fell o-off my bed t-this morning, does it look t-That b-bad?"
"Yes, yes it does." I tryed to not show the relief that I had, he was buying it. "Do you have wooden floors of something?"
"Y-Yup."
"You should consider getting a rug, a soft one at that." I nodded in agreement. Mike took out his phone and used the light it had, "This should do for now." He shined the light down the hallway... nothing yet.
The 6:00 am bell rang... finally! We stood up and walked down the long hallway and out the front doors.
Mike's POV
We walked outside, it was chilly out. Snow was falling as well.
I looked over at Jeremy, "You're getting another ride home."
He let out a laugh, it was tiny and cute. I blushed a little and got an idea.
I dashed over to a pile of snow and smirked. Picking up some I formed a snowball. "Hey Jeremy!" He turned around quickly, startled that I had yelled at him. I chucked the snowball at him. He yelped ducking. I had just missed his head. "Nice duck!"
He stood up and grinned, quickly making his own and whipping it at me. It got me chest.
I laughed as we got into a full out snowball fight. Surprisingly he had great aim so the second I threw another snowball one would come right back at me.
Jeremy was laughing almost the whole time. Same with me.
~·~
We played in the snow for awhile just talking about life and other things like our reactions when we got hit with a snowball.
I glanced over at Jeremy, he seemed tired.Getting up I lifted him to his feet.
"Well, might as well get you home." I thought I saw something flash it his eyes. It was probably nothing,
We hopped in my car and got buckled. While driving to his house I noticed that he had fallen asleep with a light blush on his cheeks. So... just so... adorable! NO! Shut up mind, we're just really good friends. Or are we something more?
[A/N: Sorry if updating took forever! I've been really busy this week and finals are almost here so updates may be slower. Hope this chapter was cute! Thanks for reading!]
