Mike's POV

"Hey Jeremy, wake up." I nudged him over and over again. Evenually I got fed up. I lifted him the dropped him back into his seat.

"Wha? What's g-going on?!" Jeremy yelped in panic.

I snickered, "Your home Kid."

"O-Oh, thanks," he opened the door of my and got out. The same little boy came running up to Jeremy giving him a hug. "H-Hey, Mike, there's some I'd l-like you to m-meet." As he walked over the child followed. "This is m-my younger b-brother, Kevin. And Kevin this i-is my n-night shift p-partner, Mike."

Kevin smiled, "Nice to meet you Mike!" He ran up to me and gave me a big hug. Since I was sitting in the car, he had to jump in. I was a little shocked, I'm not used to hugs. But I hugged him back anyway. "I'm glad Jeremy made a friend." Kevin whispered in my ear. I smiled and he let go and stood next to Jeremy.

I looked at them, "Well I'll get going. Bye Jeremy! Bye Kevin!"

As I drove away I thought about what Kevin had said, was I Jeremy's only friend?

Jeremy's POV

Kevin and I walked inside and took off our shoes then made our way into the living room. I looked up the stairs in annoyance. Our Father was at the top.

"WHY ARE YOU SO LATE?!" He screamed at me, it was obvious that he was drunk. His hand was clenching one of those stupid glass bottles.

"I had work, remember?" Surprisingly I hadn't stuttered. At the moment I wasn't in a great mood either.

"DON'T YOU SNAP A ME!" I glared at him as he chucked his beer bottle at my face. Everything seemed to be in slow motion. That's when I felt something.

A spark.

I reached up to my face and grabbed the bottle just before it hit my forehead.

I smirked and set it down on the table near me. Finally, I had gained some confidence. It would probably only last today though.

Taking Kevin's hand we walled up the stairs past our Dad. He was starring at me in shock, I continued walking with Kevin right behind me. After entering our room I closed the door and locked it letting out a shaky sigh.

"How did you do that?" I looked at Kevin, amazement was written across his face.

I smiled softly, "I-I d-don't know..." realizing how tired I was so I laid down on my bed. "I-I'm going to t-take a n-nap Kevin."

He nodded, "I will too." He crawled into his bed and quickly fell asleep. I relaxed for a few minutes be for falling asleep myself.

????? POV

Sighing I walked over to the stove an stirred the soup. Creamy wild rice, our favorite.

I grinned at the sight of Mike walking in, "So they didn't get ya?"

"Nope, almost though."

I looked at him with a worried expression, "Almost?"

"Yeah they broke our flashlight, I'm gonna need to go out after dinner and get a new one."

"Ok that's fine. At least you don't have to go in tommorow."

His eyes widened, "Yeah... I forgot."

Walking over to him I asked, "Are you ok? Is something wrong?" I then set the pot of soup on a hot pad on the table.

"Kind of, I'm worried about my co-worker. He's new you know."

"Don't worry, he'll be fine. Just enjoy your day off."

Mike sat down and go himself some soup, "Lets hope I can."

Jeremy's POV

Opening my eyes I glance over at the clock, 10:00 pm... I'm going to need to run again.

I hurried to get ready; as I passed the bathroom mirror I smiled, my bruise was going away. I ran out the door and into the street. Turning my head I noticed a car stop abruptly.

HONK

"Sorry! S-Sorry!" I quickly got out of the way so the car could continue driving. The man inside nodded forgiving me, then drove away.

For some reason I was really happy as I began to sprint to the pizzeria.  As cold air collided with my face I laughed. Something good was going to happen I could just feel it. People gave me strange looked as I passed them. I was only wearing my jacket to keep warm, it doesn't block the cold that we'll though. I didn't care at the moment, I felt actual freedom for once. I am going to survive the first five nights, I will save Kevin and I from our father. Nothing, and I mean nothing, is going to get in my way.

Looking straight ahead I saw the pizzeria. No animatronics were going to kill Mike or I tonight, I just know it.

~·~

I finally reached the front doors and through them open. I ran down the long hallway as fast as I could, I wanted to see Mike again.

Just before I reached the office I noticed a wet floor sign. The floor doesn't seem wet... next thing I knew I faceplanted into the floor. I tripped had tripped over the sign, should have seen that coming.

Standing up I kicked the sign down the hallway out irritation. I sighed and sat down in one of the chairs by the desk. Shouldn't Mike be here? Looking down I noticed a new flashlight with a note attached to it. I reached down grabbing the note and read it.

My eyes widened. I looked down I hallway it terror. Then the 12:00 bell chimed.

[A/N: *Looks at reads* How *Falls onto floor* How did this story even... just wow. Ok! *Stands back up* I'd like to thank you people so much for all the reads, votes and comments. It makes me so happy that you're all enjoying the story! I was going to see Kevin but I failed... horribly. I just put a picture of Jeremy instead.  So I'll just give you a visual of Kevin.
He has Brown eyes and brown hair. His hair is cut short like how little boys have it usually. He's a little bit more than four feet tall... I think that's normal for a seven year old boy. Jeremy and him both have dimples.
Uhhh, not sure how else to describe him.
But yeah thank you for reading!]
