[Puts cookie in mouth, "Lets do this."]

Mike's POV

I huffed as I slipped on my cap for work, another week, another paycheck. Just think of it that way Mike.

Once I was all ready to go I stood by the front door and waited for Jeremy. He came a few minutes later and gave me a quick peck on the lips.

I smiled lightly, "You ready to go?"

He smiled as well, "Yup!"

"Alrighty then, let's go," We left the house and I locked the door behind us.

Jeremy looked out the window once we got into the car, "So tired..."

I nodded, "Me too."

After a few more minutes of driving he spoke up again, "Hey Mike?"

"Yeah?"

"Are shadows made to help or h-hurt you?"

"They're made to protect you," I stated, "Well, when they can."

"M-Mine seems to just be giving me trouble..." Jeremy mumbled sadly.

"Well I'll make sure Blake has a talk with him."

He looked over at me, "B-Blake?"

"Oh he's my shadow," I smirked, "He can be a little bitch at times though."

Jeremy gave a dull laugh, "Well mine has been a big one lately."

I sighed, "Sure seems like it."

We rounded a corner and pulled into the pizzeria's parking lot. After I parked we got out of the car and through the front door as it was nearing midnight. We entered the office and sat down, Jeremy pulling out the tablet and I pulled out the flashlight.

I let out a long yawn, "Another night has begun."

Jeremy nodded, "Y-Yes, yes it has."

~·~

Halfway through the night and nothing has happened so far for us. Its not like I'm complaining or anything, I'm actually quite happy about it. Sometimes I wonder why they get more active as the week progresses, I mean, what not get less active instead? I think that would be a lot easier.

I glanced over to Jeremy, "Anything move yet?"

"I-I don't think so..." He trailed off while doing another check through the cameras, "Mangle's missing."

"Well that's not good, try and find 'em."

Jeremy nodded and continued his search for the mangled animatronic, "I can't seem to find her anywhere."

I frowned as I checked all the lights, "That's strange..." Just as I said that Jeremy whipped his head around to stare at the dark corner of the ceiling above us, "Is everything alright?"

"Uh, d-didn't you hear that?"

"What?"

"The sound of metal clicking from up there," He pointed up to the spot he was staring at with a concerned expression.

I narrowed my eyes trying to look into darkness to see if an animatronic was there. Since I couldn't tell I took a deep breath and aimed the flashlight at the corner. "Well here goes nothing," I then flicked the flashlight on.

Hardly a second after I turned it on a flash of white, pink, and sliver sprang at me. I could hear Jeremy scream my name as it attacked. Quickly moving my hands so she didn't bite my face off I grabbed her face and threw her at a nearby wall. A crash was heard and a few gears clicked as Mangle reset her system then got ready to attack once again. This time she got me, metallic teeth sunk into my flesh and bit down. Hard. I couldn't even scream, there was so much pain that I just couldn't.

Next thing I knew Jeremy was prying Mangle off me, he let out small yelps as her sharp parts cut into his hands and arms, "Mike! P-Please just hang on!" And I did, once the damn robot was off me I tried to sit up and help Jeremy deal with Mangle but that sent a shock wave of unbearable pain through my body.

After a few minutes Jeremy finally got Mangle to leave the office. He ran up to me and took off his shirt to try and stop the wound on my chests bleeding. He kept muttering stuff under his breath that sounded like pleas for me to live. My vision got a bit fuzzy as I tried to focus on his face which was growing more panicked by the second.

The six o'clock bell rang and Jeremy seemed to realize he should probably call 911 so he did. When he came back he began to talking to me in a somewhat reassuring tone as he applied pressure to my chest again, "Everything will be okay Mike, a-an ambulance will be here soon, j-just please... stay awake."

I gave a light smile through the pain, "Sor... Sorry for your... shirt the... same way you did."

He didn't return the smile but stated in a serious tone, "Don't talk, you'll lose more blood... I-I think."

I sighed shaking my head a bit then focused on breathing, no way I was going to die like this. It would be an interesting way to die but not the way I want to.

Sirens began to echo in the distance and I tried to relax my body. My vision began to darken just as the front doors to the pizzeria burst open.

[There you go! Sorry summer = no motivation for me. :c
