CHAPTER FIVE
╰ violet
- This chapter is a series of flashbacks that Daisy sees in her dream. They are real memories."Did he really just say Avengers Assemble even though we're all standing here?" Daisy spoke into Wanda's mind. The sound of Daisy's voice inside her head made Wanda jump. She tried to play it off cool, pretending her mind wasn't just intruded on by the girl standing beside her. Wanda shot her an ugly glare before whispering back;
"How many times have I told you not to use your powers on me?"
"If you didn't want me to do it you would use your own powers and block me out of your mind." Daisy cut back with a smile.
Wanda glared at the female beside her until she couldn't hold back her smile any longer. Both of them thrown into a giggle fit in the middle of their Avengers training.
"Y'all wanna share the joke with the class or are you just gonna stand there and disturb the rest of us?" Sam's voice boomed through the open space they all stood in. Vision's head turned towards the women standing behind them with a questioning look on his face. Him and Wanda locked eyes and the look from Vision lingered just for a second longer than any normal person would.
"Someone seems interested in these Sokovian cheeks." Daisy's voice cut through Wanda's mind once again. This time Wanda didn't bother to care. There was something about Vision that Wanda found incredibly intriguing. A connection. It was something she wanted to explore, but not now that Daisy was standing next to her reading her thoughts and speaking into her mind every other minute.
"No no, nothing going on here. You all continue the lecture please!" Daisy shouted through the venue they were standing in, loud enough for everyone to hear, even Steve and Natasha who were standing at the very front. Her cheeky smile would be enough for them to not get into trouble, and even if she wound up finding herself in trouble Daisy could always manipulate people's minds and get herself out of trouble in no time. This was how Daisy had lived her whole life and just because she was joining a team of super people didn't mean that she would change. She would just finally have some friends that didn't see her as a freak, friends that didn't talk about her behind her back, and friends that didn't out her to her parents leading to her ending up on the streets. No, Daisy would finally have some friends that just accepted her for who she was, and that's all she had ever wanted.
"Is it my turn to read your mind or are you going to tell me what's going on behind those big hazel eyes?" Wanda's voice startled Daisy away from her daydreams. She shook her head with a faint smile and shushed Wanda before whispering;
"We have to listen to the Captain. I'll just tell you later."
