CHAPTER NINE

"Oh, crap. I've got to run back to the office. If you need anything just call me!"It was all that James had said before storming out of Daisy's shop. She was left there standing alone, thinking about whether or not James was going to realize that he had never given Daisy his number. She just shook her head at the man and sighed to herself.
"He's such a goof." She muttered under her breath. She took a look at the muffin in front of her. It was her favorite flavour. Daisy tried to remember if she had told him that the first time that they met, she tried to find an explanation to how he had known raspberry muffins were her favorite. It was what she always bought herself on a bad day in order to cheer herself up.
Everything about James' visit made Daisy uneasy. There were so many questions left unanswered. Especially after her dreams from the previous night. Nothing made sense to her and the more she thought about it, the more it added to the confusion. She wasn't sure if her dreams were made up of a subconscious fantasy or memories of a past life. There were so many familiar faces in her dreams it could just be her subconscious mind trying to process the images of the day. However, Daisy had never experienced dreams this vivid before, she barely had dreams before... Before what exactly?
Daisy shook herself out of her thoughts. If she kept thinking and theorizing about her dreams it would drive her out of her mind. She didn't have time for this. She had to live her life, her real life, and stop thinking about her dreamworld fantasies. She needed to stop thinking about Bucky. Which also meant she had to stop thinking about James. A task that would prove itself difficult as James somehow always found a way to appear in Daisy's day-to-day life. It was comical really. The way he acted around Daisy even though he supposedly had a girlfriend. It was as if the universe mocked Daisy for her feelings. Feelings for a man she barely knew, but at the same time she felt as if she had known him her whole life. It was her mind playing tricks on her again, affiliating her dreams of Bucky with the reality of James. It didn't help her that they had the same face, voice and mannerisms, and it definitely didn't help her that the dream version of her and Bucky seemed to be soulmates. In reality Daisy knew it was never going to happen. James was in a happy relationship and Daisy... Well, Daisy was just Daisy.

"Yes Norm I'm aware of the extra fees this addition will bring, but I need to get those roses with the rest of my order. Please just make it happen, you know I never do this and it'll be a one time thing. Please?" Daisy was practically begging her supplier to allow her to make changes in her order that was due to be delivered the next day. Normally she would never agree to adding more flowers the day before her order was due, but James' ice blue eyes made Daisy make irrational decisions. She knew she would regret it, but she had agreed to it anyway. Norm started blabbering on the other end of the line, Daisy was too caught up in her own head, but she heard brief mentions of;
