Harry
"H! The boys got them. Do we meet you in the back?" Downing my last glass of old whiskey I nod to whoever was talking, taking the time to follow him into the back. Duty calls.
The sounds of men's chatter start to faint once I come out, as they usually do when I come around. I tended to get used to it since I am their boss. We didn't need to be cordial, they only needed to respect me and do as I say... and when they don't, well you'll see in a minute.
I see the two bodies on their knees, heads hung low with their hands tied above them and a black sack covering their heads. Leo sees that I'm ready and removes the covering to reveal two young boys, who couldn't be younger than 17. Their faces filled with fear once their now free eyes had to open up with my piercing green ones in front of them.
"Bones and the rest of the guys caught them dealing West-side powder over here. What do you want to do with them?" Leo asks as he stands beside me waiting for my next move. I remained quiet and continued to watch them. There were many ways I could've handled this situation, but I knew what had to be done. As a result, their graves would've had to be dug up.
"One of you boys wanna tell me what's the reason for all of this. Why two of my East-siders are dealing with West-side shit? I'll give you two a minute to decide who wants to speak up first." Kneeling on one of my knees I take one of the hair ties I had around my wrist tying my hair up as I wait for them to speak. It didn't take too long for me to hear a croak then coming from the right of me.
"We- I- Ace, he caught us on a delivery last week. He told us that he would give us each 5 grand to deal his stuff over here this one time. I had to Mr. H, my mom, she's sick and in and out of the hospital, the treatments, and medicine. I needed the money. I'm so sorry for betraying you. Please show us mercy." The boy looks me in my eyes trembling as tears were now streaming down his face at the thought of death. That's when I went up closer to him, grazing my thumb under his eyes to wipe the water. The coolness of my ring touched his warm face and caused him to shiver, but it made him give in as he rested his weight on my palm. I let him close his eyes from the feeling of comfort showing him the little bit of sincerity I had left in my heart.
A smile arrived on his face and that was when I took the time to pull out my Smith & Wesson revolver that was tucked behind my back shooting the boy on the left, a clean shot right between his eyes. My gaze stood still on the boy that was in front of me, not making a move.
The look of distraught came back on his face that made me rise signing Leo to deal with the body.
"Your brave kid, I like that. You see the reason for your friend's death is because he was quiet. You don't get anywhere in life shutting yourself out." I tell him waving my gun around to Leo and some of the boys pulling away from the body.
"But you, you could've made it far, if you didn't go behind my back for some marked money. It's a shame to see you go before your mom, I'll make sure to tell her you said goodbye of course." Another shot in the middle of his chest. I could've gone higher, but he did ask for mercy.
"Clean this up, and make sure his mother's hospital bills are paid for. And this goes for anyone who thinks they can be crossing over sides as they fucking. please. I'll personally shove this gun down your throat and pull the trigger with no hesitation. I'll see you when I do." I heard the low goodnights from behind me letting me know they were all on the same page as me. As I walked away, I cleaned the splatters of blood that fell onto my gun off with my blouse before returning it to its spot.
Arthur and his goons will never get their dirty asses off my side. That was the agreement we made with Sebastian, East is mine, and West is his. I hate the thought of being back at that place but I needed to tell him about it. If I'm going to be running this side to not be corrupted and fucked like his is I'm gonna need to do things I don't want to do.
Walking further away from Leo's place, I turned the corner reaching the second alley I've been in tonight when I wanted nothing more than to be alone in my bed. The figure was already there waiting for me with his hoodie hanging lowly on his head since he knew he wasn't supposed to be here meeting with me.
"Lynx, is that you?" He whispered lowly enough for only me to hear. I hated that little nickname they all had for me. Every time any of them saw me they had to address me with it, they had no choice but to, daddy's orders.
"Yeah, it's me, what did you find out? You better be right about this." He nods his head nervously until he reaches into his pocket slipping a folded paper into my hand. When he contacted me about something in the warehouse, I didn't expect him to only come with a note.
"Fuck is this!?" I lift the paper pissed that this was the only information he had for me.
"I'm sorry, but it's all I know as of now. That's the name that some of the workers have been hearing around the warehouse. Some buyers came to see Sebastian the other day and they mentioned it to him as well. It could just be a new mix but I'll get back to you once I know what's going on, I promise." I don't believe in promises, I never have. I've heard it all my life and it's always been a lie to cover up another lie. But for me to find out what exactly Sebastian was up to I needed to do things I wouldn't usually consider doing, anything to tear him down.
I give a slight nod to the guy as he does in return before I watched him run off to his side of town. I didn't trust him at all, he seemed to have good intentions but you never know. I will admit though he has been helpful these past few days.
Seeing that he fully left I leaned up against the brick wall as I opened the paper from my hands I pulled it closer to my eye view reading what was written on it. I have no clue what it could mean right now, but I will find out sooner or later.
I read the paper one more time aloud to myself.
Watermelon Sugar.
What are you up to now Sebastian...
