•Chapter 7/Task Awaits/Thoughts Of Him•

A/N: Mkay, this book is getting a lot of attention.. I left for a few hours to see it gone from 300+ to 500+ views/reads.. you guys are insanity.. anyway.. This takes place 2 days after Veteran being sad sad and Player being a frickin' therapist. :))

Veteran workin' and Mr. Cheese sufferin at some way.

• Veteran's POV

[Current Time: 9:31AM]

"I'M GONNA WIN!" Player exclaims. "NO- NO- DAMN IT!" I exclaimed.

"Victory!" Says on Player's side of the TV screen.

"HAH! You owe me 10 bucks this time, Veteran." Player says. I stubbornly took my wallet out of my drawer and gave him 10 bucks. "Thaaank you!" Player says while grabbing the 10 bucks. "This is like- the 2nd time I had to give you money." I said while closing my drawer. He laughs. "Hehe~ Have fun losing your allowance~" Player says. "Player I swear-" Before I can finish my sentence, the speaker interjects it.

"Veteran, TheGentleman, please come to the Cafeteria!" Captain announces from the speakers.

"Oh.." Player says. I stood up from my sitting position. "Welp, looks like I'm called.. see ya homeslice!" I said. "Aw, see ya!" Player says. I waved goodbye to Player and left him at my room.

We've been hanging out a lot recently..almost like- 24/7 everyday- I enjoy his company a lot. Sometimes we talk for half the day! That's insane compared to when me and Greaser were friends..

I headed to the Cafeteria like what Captain told me to do.. If this is about what happened 2 days ago I swear I'm strangling him. Captain has been asking if I was alright the last few 2 days and I did say I'm fine.. he still doubts me tho.. Heck why do people even care for me anyway?

I finally arrived after a few minutes of walking from the dormitory to the main hall. Only Captain and TheGentleMan were present.. huh. "Hey Veteran!" Captain says. "Hello Veteran." TheGentleMan says. "Hey." I said. "Sooo, what's the matter?" I asked Captain. "I received the task info's." Captain says. I was shocked at first since.. we passed Mars 3 days ago.. "Wait ho-" But before I can finish my sentence, Captain interrupts me.

"I received it while we were already heading towards Mars, I didn't tell you guys yet because I read them first to check if they were correct." Captain says. I was a little angry, I was worrying for absolutely no reason the whole time? geez.. "Now, what exactly is your point Captain?" TheGentleMan asks.

"Pretty obvious TheGentleMan, we gotta get ready for work! Cause tomorrow.. we start our tasks." Captain says. "Well you guys better start soon since ya know.. I'm the one whose gonna give 'em to the crew and all.." I said. "Yes yes will be quick." TheGentleMan says.

"Alright then, Veteran you go to Security, we will send you each task through those computers. TheGentleMan, Let's go to Comms and start organizing those tasks!" Captain says. Captain dragged TheGentleMan with him to Communications, leaving me to go to Security.

This is going to be a long day.. I thought. I went to the dormitory once again to go to my room to.. get my tablet and my nintendo switch. Okay, for the tablet is self explanatory. The Nintendo tho? also yes. I'm gonna be waiting for them to organize those so I might as well do other stuff while they do some of their works.

I took out my keycard from my pocket and unlocked my door. Player is apparently still there. "So what did they need you to do?" Player asks. "I uhh.. I gotta start doing my role." I said. Player frowned a little bit. "Aw, I wanted to play games with you more.." Player says. "Eh, as long as their fast than I can come back in probably 5 hours or so." I said.
