•Chapter 8/Sleep Deprived/Curiosity/Breakups•

A/N: HEHE, I'M SPEED WITH THIS BOOK BOII- Anyways.. not really any long A/N's rn so uhh.. yeah! Let's get into it! Now incase you might kill me.. heres what happened during Veteran and Player hanging out in the cafeteria: They just hung out, that's it- Anyways.. they have been in the mission for 4 days now! :DD now.. this is day 5.

Summary: Player being the sleep deprived bean, Veteran (KINDA) Stalkin.. hm- and some nice BroNja being awake at 3AM like weirdos, also.. breaking up?....

• Player's POV

[Current Time: 11:39PM]

After the usual of a long day hanging out with Veteran it was time to sleep. I did my usual, go to the bathroom to clean up and change to my regular clothing, fix my bed up so I can sleep properly and then just lay there and think about absolute nothingness.

You would think I would be able to sleep now normally now that I've been in this mission for 4 days now but.. no.

3 hours later..*+
[Current Time: 2:46AM]

As usual.. I'm sleeping at the Cafeteria again..

I wasn't able to sleep in my room like I was suppose to do here if I'm honest.. I don't wanna drink sleeping pills everyday either. Sometimes Captain or Mr. Egg wakes up around these times and ask me why I'm still awake, I don't really say anything other than: "I can't sleep."

I also bring my blanket now with me, I don't wanna freeze to death while sleeping y'know? I still don't know who gave me that blanket the first night I was here tho.. But I'm glad they cared enough to not let me freeze to death that night.

Although now that I think about it.. It was yellow, pastel yellow to be exact.. I saw the same looking blanket from Veteran's room while checking for any potential weapons for him in his cabinet too.. maybe he woke up at some point during that night and covered me in the blanket? Maybe.. not sure.

I really liked the Cafeteria windows.. it really shows the void of space very clearly. To the exoplanets, the luminous stars, the black-ish blue sky is just mesmerizing to me.. It helps me fall asleep faster but.. it's not always effective as it is.

As I was staring at the giant windows of the Cafeteria I heard the door of the Cafeteria open.. Who could be awake at 2AM Right now?... I thought.

• Veteran's POV

My usual.. waking up at 2AM.

No, I'm not waking up at 2AM as usual because I can't sleep, not anything like that. I wake up during these times cause.. of Player.

Ever since the first day he's always around here at these times.. and- I have heard rumors of ghosts in the Skeld sometimes like that Novisor legend thingy.. of course that's not the only reason why I check up on him at these times but also because he sometimes forget to bring a blanket on his own, good thing is now he remembers.

I unlocked the Cafeteria door to check up on him only to notice- Ah crap- I thought.

Player saw me, welp- he's gonna be asking a whole ton of questions now..

"Veteran?.. What are you doing still awake??" Player says while standing up from his sitting position. "Uhhh.. I WAS UH- HUNGRY? YEAHH.." I said, trying to make up a lie during the situation I was in. "You're always hungry." Player says then chuckles afterwards.

"Haha, very funny." I said while heading towards him. "I know that's a lie, Veteran. Why are you really here?" Player says. Damn it, how is he so smart at times then- just becomes a loveable idiot?? wait did I just say loveable? yep somethings very wrong with me. I thought.
