By the time George had looked back up, faces were crowding the hole making the light disappear.
George heard someone land beside him and turned around to see that dream had jumped in the hole. A few other people joined dreams lead and jumped into the hole while the rest of the people set up camp nearby.
"Well looks like we found it" Dream stated
"Took us fucking long enough" replied Sapnap.
"How about we look around a bit, see if we can find the portal room and see if there are any eyes left behind" suggested George, already starting to head off down one of the hallways.
"Does anyone have any torches?" Jack asked "it's a bit dark down here"
George opened his inventory to see if he had any torches. "I have a few one second i'll come find you"
George followed Jack's name tag to the hallway he was waiting in. He placed one of the torches on the wall. Its glow illuminated the hallway revealing a door at the end of it. The two walked towards the door opening it. It wasn't the portal room but there was a chest in it. George opened the chest to see if there was anything good for him to take.
"A few diamonds, some iron, a gold sword, lots of gold nuggets and some ender eyes" he listed out taking most of the things and heading back out of the room.
The group searched for a while longer before the sun started to set and they had to get out and go to sleep.
The next morning they went back into the stronghold to continue scouting for the portal room. The stronghold was larger than usual and it was very confusing making searching for the portal even harder.
After a few hours of searching they heard a yell from the other side of the stronghold.
"HERE, OVER HERE" Dream yelled. Everyone rushed over to where Dream was yelling from.
When they arrived they entered a large room, in the room sat a portal that was so big it just barely fit inside the room.
George whispered the cords to himself so they could easily find it when they needed to activate it.
After finding the portal room the group left the stronghold to tell everyone else that they had found it and gave them the good to go to send out the cords to the group back at base.
Now that the cords were sent out all they could do was wait for backup to arrive and hope that their code wasn't hacked by the hunters.
-------------------------------------------
Days had passed since they had sent out the cords to the strong hold and players were slowly starting to join the original group.
The backup players had been sent in multiple groups, each a few hours apart. Some were sent on foot and some were sent on horses. By doing this it would ensure they drew as little attention to themselves as possible.
In the days spent waiting for the rest of the players to arrive the group already at the stronghold had enough time to fill chests to the brim with supplies. Every day was spent either hunting, mining, crafting or preparing. They were stacked on supplies to say the least.
In no time all the players had arrived and their sort of base was chaos. Players were running back and forth from chest to chest making sure everything was in check. A group had also been sent out to go hunting in order to gather enough food for all 10 000 people that were there.
As thy days dragged on George could only wonder when they would finally be able to get this nightmare over with. He was so overwhelmed with everything going on, from the chaos of the base to the lingering thought in the back of his mind that there was a chance he could die and never come back.
