4. Invitations and Moaning Myrtle.

Avani's POV :

4:15pm.

I checked the time before I woke up. I got up and stretched my legs. I looked around to find myself alone in the room.

Woah. Beth sure as hell changed the whole vibe of the room. She made it go from basic to preppy in no time. I should get started on my side. I thought.

I went to the bathroom, down the hall to freshen up. I was still looking like a tired mess. My hair was frizzy, my bare face oily and I had stains on my blouse from the food I had on the flight. I groaned before getting into the shower.

After I finished, I went to my room and decided to do my makeup first. I went in for a minimalistic look since I didn't have anything planned as off yet and getting ready for no reason would be a dumb idea.

I left my hair as it is since it's naturally straight and went to my room to pick my outfit. With England's cold weather and my lack of warm clothes, I decided to go in for a white turtle neck and a nike sweatshirt since Sumeira always asked me to layer up. I went for my favourite bell bottom pants for I am too lazy to wear jeans.

After about an hour, I was done with the unpacking and decor. Just when I was about to get to the door, Beth barged in without knocking as if it were her own fucking castle.

"You won't believe what just happened!" She said excitedly. "I just met a cute boy in the cafeteria and we flirted for a while. Turns out he knows some seniors who are going to throw a party tonight at 9. He invited me saying that my friends and I were more than welcome to join!" She said looking at me with hopeful eyes.

I could tell she really wouldn't leave me alone unless I agreed to go with her.
I weighed my options. I think it's about time to come out of my shell and meet some new people and what's better than a party, right? And since there is a week left for classes to start, a little fun wouldn't hurt I guess.

"Okay, we can go. " I said while shrugging. "Yay! Thank god. I didn't have the energy to persuade you futhermore" She said jokingly.
"We have a lot of time till the party begins. Why don't I just check out the library first? I need some new books!" I said pretty excitedly. Who could survive a week without reading some romance books? Definitely not me.

"Okay then, I'll join you." She said linking our hands as we made our way to the library across the campus.

As soon as we came down to the library, Beth left in a hurry saying she had to get a coffee because, she said and I quote: "Coffee is my only addiction. Fuck drugs."

I made my way towards the romance section in the library which was at a far end in a corner and searched for some new books.

Just when I was reading the summary of some random book I thought I heard someone moan.

"Ah! Ryder baby, yes! I love you so much. Ahh yess." I heard someone screech at a distance from me. Why the fuck do people treat the library as a makeout spot? I thought to myself before deciding to just ignore it. 

"Baby you're so good yess right beside the-" The screeching girl continued to moan before I decided to slam my book loudly against a desk beside me to stop their further detailed dirty talk.

"Some people are trying to read here." I said loud enough for them to hear me after rolling my eyes.

Thank god they stopped. Eww, I cringed so hard. I got a few books with me and started walking towards the counter to check them out when I heard the same girl again but this time, right behind me.

"Oh I'm sorry nerd, did my conversation ruin your virgin ears?" She said and I turned around to find the typical blonde with green eyes wearing a outfit she probably bought when she was 8.

Besides her, I saw him. The douch bag I saw earlier. Standing there, smirking at us like he's enjoying this little banter.

I just rolled my eyes and ignored them since they weren't worthy of my kind and gracious words *note the sarcasm.

I turned around again when I heard her saying, "What the fuck are you even wearing, virgin? 2008 called, they said they want their fashion back." She laughed thinking she accomplished something big by saying that.

I gave her a look and smiled sweetly. "Says the one wearing baby gap." I said disgustingly.

She gasped slightly not knowing what to say next. Yet she stuttered angrily "w-what did you just say to me?"

"Here let me dumb it down for you," I said getting closer. "Fuck off" I said slowly as if I was talking to a retard.

I turned around again, this time not waiting for her pathetic response or looking at the smirking douche bag beside her and got out of there after checking out my books.

I bumped into Beth right outside. "Hey, you got what you wanted?" She asked looking at the books in my hand. "Yup." I said popping the 'p'.

"Okay, then let's go get ready we hardly have any time left." She said linking our hands and making her way towards the dorms. I decided against telling her about the bimbo incident since it wasn't worth mentioning. We talked about random things about ourselves to get to know each other better while walking...more like Avani walking like a human and Beth skipping like a toad.

"Well what about your previous boyfriends? Had any?" She asked a bit curiously. I tensed for a second before the elevator opened up.

"What are you going to wear to the party?" I asked her after we got in, trying to change the subject. "Uh! I'm glad you asked. I'm thinking about the dress I bought when I was in new York it's so cute-" and just like that, she continued to ramble about some dress she bought totally forgetting about what she asked me before.

We got to our floor and walked in to the dorm room. "Let's get started..." She sang in a high pitched voice and made her way towards the closest. I rolled my eyes after giggling like a child at her antics.

I wonder what my first party in Bath is going to be like.
