"Guess what guys!" Sasha yells as she runs into my room where everyone was hanging out cause our usual hang out space is getting cleaned. "I got a liver! I'm getting a transplant! I might actually make it out of this God forsaken hospital!" She cheers.

"That's great...uh...name?" Connie's memory loss has begun with names. He knows who we are and his relationship to each of us, he just can't put a name to the face sometimes.

"Sasha." Connie nods and hugs her.

"Well at least one of us won't rot and die here." Ymir laughs.

"That's if these doctors can do it right." Marco sighs. No one likes the doctors here cause they suck at their job, but after Jean passed Marco developed a hatred towards them.

It's been two weeks since Jean died, the sound of the flatline still rings in my head sometimes.

"Actually I know this really good surgeon who used to be the chief of surgery here until he moved to a better hospital. I could ask and see if he could do your surgery if you want." Eren offers. Sasha's eyes light up and she bounces on her toes.

"Yes please, that would be amazing! Thank you Eren!" Eren nods and then pulls out his phone to send a text to his doctor friend.

"Hello kids, time for meds!" Hange comes in holding a tray of cups, they hand us our pills and then a cup of water. They walk over to grab the trash can and then let's us throw our cups away. "Oh and guess what!"

"What?" Connie asks excitedly.

"I got permission to take all of you down to the cafeteria to get pudding to celebrate Sasha's liver!"

"Who's Sasha?" Historia taps Connie's shoulder and points over at Sasha. "Ohhh ok, thanks."

We all get ready and then follow Hange to the cafeteria. We sit together at a large table in the center of the room. Hange gets us all a cup of chocolate pudding, Sasha gets two since this little celebration thing is for her and cause she's Sasha.

The sun's shining extra bright today, it makes me feel like everything is going to be okay. It makes me forget I'm dying. It makes me forget that Connie can't remember my name. It makes me forget that Ymir can't keep food down. It makes me forget that Eren is always cold. I wish I could forget forever.

Eren
9pm

The sun came out today which put everyone in a better mood. The sun wasn't just avoiding me but everyone the last two weeks. There was no light in anyone eyes, no smile on their faces, no laugh from their mouths. But today it all came back, the light, the smiles and the laughter.

Tonight the sun took forever to set as if it didn't want to go. But eventually it had to and now the moon is bright in the sky.

My phone buzzes with my text tone.

[Dr.Smith]
Hello Eren, sorry for the late reply.
Of course I can do your friend's surgery!
Give her nurse my number and I'll talk to them about it.

[Me]
Thank you!
I'm gonna go tell her now.

I get out of bed and walk down the hall towards Sasha's room. Inside she's covered up in a big blanket eating chips and watching spongebob. I knock on the door frame, she jumps and then laughs once she sees me.

"You almost gave me a heart attack Eren, don't kill me before this liver does." She puts her hand on her heart and takes a deep breath. "I guess I can't make that joke anymore since I'm getting a new one."

I laugh and then fully enter her room. The only light source is from the TV and the little bit of light coming from the hallway. "Speaking of your new liver, my doctor friend said he could do your surgery."

"Really?!" I hum in response. She jumps out of bed and starts doing a little happy dance while she jumps up and down. "I'm not gonna die!" She sings.

"I'm happy for you."

"Don't sound so sad Eren, you're not gonna die either, you're gonna get a new heart and so is Historia. Marco is going to get a new lung and..." she trails off. Ymir and Connie didn't have a cure and Armin's tumor wasn't removable. "It's not fair, why can't doctors and scientists get their shit together and find a cure so they can fix my friends? Why do they have to live the rest of their lives knowing the have no chance?" A tear slowly falls down her face as she speaks.

"Hey, they aren't crying about it so niether should you. You can worry about it when the time comes, that time is not now."

A/n you're welcome for the happier chapter. Now back onto the planned program!
