I couldn't believe my eyes. It felt completely surreal. A ship, this big of a size, appearing out of nowhere. How even was this possible. Though I should have known better, I couldn't get but get intruiged by it. It felt like a movie I was in, a true fantasy story. Though my life had already been a fairy tale like story the past few months that had passed, this completely surpassed it all. I got closer to it, wanting to admire it to the smallest detail, though I made sure not to touch it. I couldn't get swept away by my amazement now, I had to remain sane.
"You can go inside if you want to," Hongjoong chuckled, seeming satisfied by my curiosity. I quickly denied though with a rather awkward laugh. "Thanks for the offer, but I think I'm good," I answered, hoping it wouldn't bring me to his bad side, which it thankfully didn't. Instead, he seemed to actually find it funny. "Still careful I see, you're a smart lady." Smart. I couldn't help but laugh sarcastically. I was everything but smart. If I was, I wouldn't have been here, just completely done with it all.
My mind went back to the guys. I still didn't know where they were, but I didn't think they'd be dead. No one seemed to be able to kill each other here, despite constantly threatening to do so. In a way it looked a bit pathetic if you really thought about it. What had my life even been these past months? All I did was go back and forth with nothing ever being accomplished. They all still seemed to despise of each other, figuring out their 'perfect plan', as they would call it, but look at where it got them.
Maybe going on the ship wouldn't even be that bad, I jokingly thought. At least then I'd be freed from the constant drama of having to move while just feeling uncomfortable. Sure, I had gotten closer to some, and Seungmin and Chan were more than important to me, but was it really worth it, staying in the forest for probably the rest of my life at this rate? I didn't really want to think about it. Honestly though, going with these guys wouldn't be smart either. This way I'd be even further from home, I really would never be able to go back home like this.
"So, princess, what do you think? Do you want to come with us?"

The eight boys were having a hard time, despite having the advantage of outnumbering their ghost 'friends' in front of them. Whenever one of the wolves or vamps would try to attack, the ghosts would just disappear, only to just as quick reappear to hit them back. It seemed nearly impossible, until Felix and Jisung seemed to have figured it out. Simultaneously funny enough, they really were twins after all. They instantly turned to each other, nodding in understanding. Yeosang stormed up to Jisung, just like before disappearing for a second, reappearing right beside Jisung ready to hit. However, not noticing Felix had gotten behind him instead. Just as Yeosang was about to hit Jisung, Felix hit Yeosang away harshly, his ring creating a stripe of blood on the boys face. Felix laughed sinister. "So you guys can bleed after all."
Felix and Jisung exchanged glances again, the both actually rather annoyed with how smoothly their cooperation seemed to be going. It didn't take long for the others to catch onto the new techniques. If the ghost club wanted to hit, they had to stay in their human form. It would be at that moment that they were all vulnerable. Soon, the tables reversed.
San couldn't help but watch from a distance how his crewmates all got beaten up. He knew it wasn't fair of him to hide, but what difference could he possibly make? He learned that all too well back in the days on the ship. He felt like he couldn't accomplish anything alone, like it would just be in vain. He'd better warn Hongjoong, he would know what to do. He always did whenever they were in trouble again. If it wasn't for Hongjoong, he would have been long gone. That was why he admired him so much.
Which was exactly why he knew that his desire was so hard for him to fulfill. He often came to the edge, observing the world of the living. Well, lively enough. That first day he saw Y/N, he instantly became intruiged. It had been ages since he had seen a living girl. He'd even find himself hoping to see her at a certain point, simply fascinated by the way of acting, the way of thinking. So much had changed over the decades in the way women acted. It was interesting for him to see, like studying a little butterfly.
San was always quick to read someone, especially when he was still alive. He could see things others might not as quick. He easily spotted just how done Y/N seemed with her world, he felt pitiful for her. He wished he could just help her in some way, which was why he instantly told Hongjoong about her. He however denied at first, saying he wouldn't break the contract over a girl, no matter how useful she could be. Of course, things immediately changed when she was on their side already.
That was what he was so scared of. He knew all too well that Y/N coming with them would just mean her living a good life on the ship. That wasn't the deal they made to live. The ship didn't require just a human girl, but the blood of a human girl. Even if she wouldn't die, she'd have to spill her precious every month for them to stay alive in order to make up for staying alive. Wasn't that too cruel for her? Of course he wanted to go out, sail out, but he couldn't help but feel bad for the girl.
But could he prevent Hongjoong from finally fulfilling his dream? After all this time that Hongjoong had taken care of him, all that was done for him, could he really deny Hongjoong from his freedom? No matter how bad he felt for the girl, he couldn't disappoint his precious leader. He was everything that had kept him alive for so long. He had to hurry back to Hongjoong. He knew things were looking really bad right now. Even if they couldn't save the whole crew, at least Hongjoong could be free.
San returned as fast as he could, a relieved smile when he saw the two together, actually seeming to get along. "So, princess, what do you think? Do you want to come with us?" he heard Hongjoong ask. Y/N seemed to hesitate, looking back between Hongjoong, the ship, and the forest, spotting me in the progress. Her eyes widened, a spark glinstering in her eyes. San's eyes widened, the world slowly seeming to turn into slow motion. What was happening to him. He tried to speak up, but got interrupted just as quickly by a voice behind him.
"So this is where you were."
