"Y/N, can I talk to you later on? For now rest out, you've been through a lot, haven't you?" Changbin asked, as I nodded. "Yeah. I'll be down later," I answered, a tiny smile appearing seeing he was being considerate. Changbin nodded, hinting the others to go down with him, Chan including. Chan stared at me, a sweet loving smile on. "I'll see you later," Chan said, ruffling my hair. Jisung and Jeongin's eyes remained on me for a second longer, both unable to speak before leaving.

When they left, I closed my eyes, humming along to a song to try and distract myself from all that had happened. After all, distraction was usually the only thing that had helped for me. My mind still wandered back to Seungmin's disappointed face when I left. I couldn't help but feel bad for him, yet wonder what he and Chan talked about. What was going through his mind these days now that I was gone? Did he miss me too? Or was I already out of his mind? I sighed. I shouldn't be thinking about him, after all, I chose to be with Chan. Maybe I should just forget about it all... Could I even?

Even if I wanted to, I couldn't forget about Seungmin.

The four sat down downstairs, all with a mixture of pain and happiness. Not only did they get Y/N back, she got here on her own account too. They defeated the leader of Ateez, leaving them way less powerful, meaning that they could possibly get back their piece of land, plus they once again drove the others away. It finally looked like things were going well for them.

"I think we deserve to rest out, don't you think? We've worked hard," Changbin told the boys with a proud smile. The others agreed instantly, finally relaxing. The other side wasn't going to attack now anyways, they were all too damaged to do so, and smart enough to know that attacking them now wouldn't do much good. At some point during the fight, it got so bad that Jisung tried to kill his brother in pure rage, but Changbin managed to stop him just in time. The timing to kill them off wasn't there yet. They couldn't before they got that.

Not that the peace they had was going to last long though, and they all knew. It was only a matter of time now before it would start, and they wouldn't be able to do anything about it. Summer had ended, the leaves falling off the trees as autumn was already fully in motion for a month or so. In October, once the moon was full, in only a matter of days as of now, things were going to get messy. Their feelings becoming messed up, magnified, and their search for a partner intensified. At the next full moon, the season they were all fearing would come up; mating season.

Normally, without any females around, it would be a lot easier to contain, but now that there is one, it was going to get a lot more difficult. Although during mating season, usually only the alpha, Changbin, supposedly would mate, he wasn't the only one that was going to be affected by it. Where with normal men the level of testosterone, the hormone with a huge impact on the drive to reproduce, plunges during a full moon, in this world, things had always been somewhat upside down. It rose for them, and rapidly.

Just as unfortunately enough, they weren't the only ones who would experience this. As the forest already was enchanted with a spell, cycles such as this effected all creatures in it, therefore Minho and his group as well. Changbin and the other's would heal fast, werewolves had always done so, but when it came to healing, the vampires had always beat them. Changbin's sort was only able to keep up with the healing with small cuts and sorts, bigger wounds took longer. Strenghtwise, however, they had the advantage, which is why they always seemed to have the upper hand. However, with the injuries Minho's side had now, they would be smart not to attack so quickly, knowing it would be difficult for them to beat them.

Still, they had to be careful. With all senses and emotions heightened for all, there was no telling what would happen with an actual girl around. Changbin sighed. They only had a few days left before it would start, yet here he was, with zero connection with his soon to be partner. His kind chose their partner for life, so what would he do when he didn't share a bond with his? He wanted to do something to earn her trust, admiration, love, but what could he possibly do? Back before he had tried to get closer, but due to Chan not having held up to his end of the deal, that went horribly wrong, and after things just got even worse.

Should he wait yet another year? To grow closer to her over time? And could he even keep himself to do so with all that was coming up? Though Changbin had just told the others to relax, his mind did all but that. Being the leader of the pack was hard, he definitely had to admit that, though he wouldn't change it for the world. He was strong enough, he'd figure it all out. For now, he'd just have to figure out what to say when he was going to talk to Y/N, make up his mind. If only that was easy.

And as if it wasn't already hard enough on Changbin, the other's too had their minds occupied with one thing, and one thing only. They all knew that with the upcoming season, their desires heightened insanely, but with there only being one girl, Y/N, it formed a problem, annoying to all;

how could they keep the others from Y/N, to have her to themselves?
