Chapter 62

Luke's P.O.V

February 14, 2015

Today's the day. 

The day I hurt my girlfriend by being with someone else on our first Valentine's day so she wouldn't get sent home.

I don't want to hurt her but I don't want her to leave.

I call Michael.

"Hello?" He says.

I hear a faint crying in the back.

"Michael is that Marcy?" I ask him.

"Uhh, no it's uh the t.v." He lies to me.

"Michael, I can't do this." I pause. " Tell me why I'm doing this again."

"Luke, i'm being honest with you, I don't know why you're doing this." He says. "Well I have to go."

He hangs up.

There's a knock on the door.

"Luke?" My mum comes in my room.

"Yes mum?"

She hasn't spoke to me since the day at the stupid meeting.

"Are you okay?"

"No, I don't want to do this." 

"But Luke, this is for you."

"For me? Where is Marcy in this then?"

"She won't get sent home if you do this. You'll have more time with her."

"Right."

"Luke, you know I like Marcy, her and her mother are nice people." 

"I know."

"Do this for more time with her, Luke." She leaves the room.

More time with her.

Then it hit me.

Marcy was originally supposed to leave December, it got extended. 

Now she's supposed to leave in March.

If i'm going to have to spend two weeks with the stranger, Marcy would be leaving by the time it's done.

Linda you're smart, but I got into your plan.

She thinks making me think it's more time with Marcy, but in two weeks she's leaving, and the fake date thing is a two week long plan.

I wouldn't even have time for Marcy....and when I do she's going to be leaving..

Fuck you Linda, I'm going to be with my girlfriend today.

Marcy's P.O.V

"He's mean Michael !" I yell while we're in the Man Cave.

"Yes he is !" He agrees with me.

"He's stupid too!" I cry.

"Yes he is!"

"Going with that girl wouldn't make me stay, it takes time away from me. I'm leaving in two weeks." 

"It's okay, babe." Michael hugs me.

"I'm so mad !" 

"Yes you are !"

"I want to punch him."

"You're going to punch him."

"I'm going to his house right now." I get the car keys.
