"Hey mama." I said.

"Hey baby, um guess what." She said

"What?" I asked curiously.

"Um the hospital jus called." She said and my heart started to pound. What could possibly go wrong now, I mean Patience is gone.

"What they say?"

"They said that Patience had woke up and they wanted me there. So that way I could sign her out and stuff." She said.

"W-wait forreal forreal?" I said in disbelief.

"Yea baby she's awake, she did not leave us after all." She spoke before I heard sniffles through the phone.

I took a deep breath "Ok ma I'm finna be there."

"Ok baby make sure to tell yo brother's ok." She said.

"Ok I will. Love you." I said.

"I love you too." She said before hanging up.

I hurried grabbed my keys and went to the bedroom to tell Mayari.

"Bae c'mon Patience jus woke up." I said barging into the room.

"Oh thank the lord." She jumped outta the bed and grabbed her phone and shoes.

"Ok hurry and let's go." She said rushing out the door and to the car.

I was walking to the waiting room where my mama was standing talking to the doctor.

"Oh God thank God you are here." She pulling me and Mayari into a hug.

"Where she at?" I said.

"Well we are helping her clean up and then y'all can see her." Dr Adam said.

"Oh ok." I said relieved.

"Everyone should be here soon." Ma said.

"Ma Patience will prolly be overwhelmed." I said.

"Well she don't have to see everyone." She said as I chuckled.

By now everybody was here in the waiting room. Kk was so happy she cried.

"Family of Patience." Dr Adam said walking up to us.

Everyone stood.

"Um Patience wishes to not see any of yall." He spoke.

"Mane cuh what you talkin bout?" I said raising my brows.

"Well she said that she wishes to not see any of you, but a Mayari." He said.

"She said she wants you to help her get ready and stuff." He said as Mayari stood and nodded, and followed him to her room.

"Damn." I mumbled.
