"Y'all doing anything tomorrow for 4th of July?" My cousin Precious asked.

"Naw, but go to Grandpa's cookout dats it." I said.

"Mm well everyone will be happy to see you since you don't ever come to visit." She said.

"Girl I be busy." I said laughing.

"Mmm well let me hop off of here, cause these kids is bad as hell." She said

"Igh I love you be safe." I said

"I love you to and you be safe." She said hanging up.

Our pops side of the family have a cookout tomorrow. Usually we will have one tomorrow and then one on the 11th, which is the day of one of the biggest block parties ever.

That's when all of the people from the Southside, Eastside, and Northside come here to the Westside to celebrate family and they loved ones who had passed.

"Hey bae we finna have chicken wings tonight ok." Mayari said walking into the kitchen.

"Ok" I said

"We finna have barbecue, Buffalo, Hot wings, and regular wings." She said taking out the chicken.

"Is we still finna go to the carnival with Dominic and Niya?" She asked.

I nodded my head. Niya was Dominic's girl. She cool peoples.

"Why is you being so dry wit me?" She asked putting her hand on her hip.

"I'm not." I said shrugging.

"Yea ok." She said turning back around to cook.

"I'm making mashed potatoes and macaroni to." She said

"Ok" I said grabbing the keys and walking out the door.

I had pulled up at Lala's house and called her.

"Hello" She said

"Come outside to the car." I said hanging up.

About a few seconds later she came out and got in the car.

"Hey bae." She said

"I'm not yo bae. I needa end things wit you." I said

"What why?" She said

"Cause I got a girl."

"But I thought you loved me." Lala said crying loudly.

"Stop." I said rubbing my hands down my face.
