#19 Dumbfounded

Wonwoo's POV:

I entered my office and unexpectedly, someone was already there.

"Mr. Jeon." he bowed.

"Cut the formalities. Call me Wonwoo." I went towards my seat and checked some papers.

"I'm sorry for interrupting Wonwoo. I know you're very busy, but this is about Mina." I stopped from what I was doing and sat in front of Mingyu.

Observing his face, he's forcing not to smile. He then placed a small notebook on my table.

"My Diary"

"Why are you giving your diary?" I lifted one of my brow.

"It's not mine, it's my sister's."

I sighed and glared at it.

"Can I please have a favor Mr. Jeon?" I stopped staring at the diary and looked at him.

"Don't let Mina know that I found her father."

I was surprised with his statement. Not gonna lie, I'm shocked. He suddenly said this out of nowhere.

"Why are you bringing me into your family problems?" slightly irritated, I adjusted my glasses.

"Hear me out Mr. Jeon." he took a deep breath and continued.

"What?"

"I found out that Mr. Lee is Mina's father."

"So?"

"Keep her away from him." he leaned closer, his veins are already visible due to eagerness.

"Why would I?" I scoffed.

"Once Mina finds out that Mr. Lee is her father, he would probably convince her to break your relationship."

You mean, to seperate us?

His topic became interesting and I became attentive to his words.

"Firstly, Mr. Lee convinced you. Second, Ms. Chou. Third, is me. For sure, Mina would be next. If he can convince her, you'll get married to his daughter. You know that Mina is kind. For sure, he would help his father." explaining hard, Mingyu took another breath.

"She loves you, and I know she waited for you for years. She won't easily give up, but if she would listen to Mr. Lee, she will."

"How are you sure that she loves me?"

Does she still love me? It's been years since she last saw me. What if she already loves someone else? What if she already moved on?

He looked at the diary, then back to me.

"If you still love my sister, help me."

Hesitant, I don't know what to do.

"Mr. Jeon, it's up to you. You can take this as a chance or ignore it."

"But who knows? Maybe if you will take this chance, you can probably clear things with Mina." he mumbled but I can obviously hear him.

He may be an idiot but he's right. If I will take this chance, she can explain why she suddenly left me. I don't want to force her to love me, maybe being close to her is enough. Just being by her side makes me happy.

"Okay. I'll help."

His eyes shouted victory. He then bowed multiple times in front of me.

"Thank you Mr. Jeon."

"Wonwoo." I corrected.

"Yes, Wonwoo." he took the diary back. But before he could go, I stopped him.

"Do me a favor in return."

"Anything." he stopped and faced me.

"Take care of my sister."

Tzuyu's POV:

"You're invited at the sixth annual anniversary of me and your dad."

"What?" I almost choked on nothing. Silently, I was just working here on my office when my mom barged in and told this news out of nowhere.

"You're going to celebrate with us in our anniversary. You know, it's been six years since I met Wonwoo's father. We need to celebrate."

"In the next two days." she added.

"Celebrate? In what, in public? After that you're going to be trending on Twitter for this." getting back to work, I continued to look at my laptop, monitoring my airline's performance.

"Honey, don't you worry. I only invited few friends, like Mr. Lee and his family. Plus, the Lee Pastry are going to sponsor the desserts and bread."

I rolled my eyes as I heard that surname. This means that I'm going to see that Naeun girl again. Whatever.

"Are you worried that you're going to see Naeun again?"

Sharpening my eyes, she just laughed in front of my face.

"Honey, it was just a crush not a boyfriend."

"Mom just stop. Past is past, don't you dare discuss it."

"Well, you say so."

"Does Wonwoo oppa knows about this?" I asked her, changing the topic.

"Yes, he does. And, I told him to bring his girlfriend." she proudly said that line but prolonged the word girlfriend.

Judging from her tone, she already know the story behind it.

"You already know?" I was worried for a second. I never knew that the word will spread so fast.

"I do, well Mina told me so. But your father doesn't, so prepare to do an act for the sake of your brother."

"I always do that."

The door opened, causing me and my mom to look at the person who entered.

"Who is this guy?" my mom asked in an interesting tone.

"He's my secretary, Kim Mingyu."

"Nice to meet you ma'm. I'm sorry for disturb-"

"It's okay, come in dear." her gaze never left his. She grabbed his arm, pulling him inside my office.

My God mom!

"Honey, you never mentioned that you have a handsome secretary. I should've visited you lot."

"That's why I never told you in the first place." I stood up and went towards the two of them.

"Mom, get your hands off him." I separated her from him. I was full of disgust. She has dad now okay?

"Honey, you should marry him now. You know, bring him to our anniversary. If not, I would kill you."

Marry him?

I was dumbfounded. I don't know why but I suddenly felt something that I can't describe. Something is happening to my stomach.

"What are you saying? You should go now." gently, I pushed her outside my office.

"Bring him to our anniversary okay?" she stopped and seriously faced me.

"I will."
